Scott, I just recently saw photos from a train show that showed a water tower made with the technique used by Erik Brok, perhaps it was his creation. The circle was formed using 1x3's and 1 rounds. I cannot recall how it's base or top was formed (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)

Jason, It is possible to connect baseplates into a larger structure, you just can't attach to the bottom of the baseplate, as you said. You can attach to the top of the baseplates... If you build a wall that is at least 2 wide, and is larger than (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)

Thanks guys, I guess when I say that my Mechs are non-violent it seems kinda contradictory when I make them with long Claws, Natural adatations. 6x16, AFAIK - both plates with studs all over, and plates with studs only on the perimeter of 3 sides. Unless the grandstands are REALLY heavy, you can just surround the top of the locker room with 2x16 plates on 2 sides and misc plates on the other (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)

Yes, actually the buildings were all almost completely hollow. They were obviously strong enough to support themselves, but I had to be careful as they got taller. The red building's roof is set upon a few cross-struts that were 7 rows of 2x6 (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)

While I was sorting, I came across arches and couldn't stop the fenders flashing through my head without building a Beetle at the same scale as my other cars. As always, the doors open.
