Building instead of bickering,

LOL. Good point

Anyway, you've outdone yourself. AGAIN. Great work, Bram. Another one I wish
I could've come up with! Yeah, the headlights might be a tad large (but I'm
betting 1x1's looked a bit too small) but until LEGO comes up with 1.5 stud
diameter pieces (other than minifig heads) what can you do? Still looks
great, and instantly recognizable. However, if they make 2x2 round tiles in
red (do they?) or if you have the parts to do a Beetle in a different
colour, possibly you could get 2x2 rounds to match the colour of the body,
then put smaller circular white stickers (1.5 stud dia, natch) with the
'headlight cross hatched' pattern on them? Just a thought.

I may need to borrow your design if I ever do a Transformers BumbleBee!
(yup, asking permission. And probably for help eventually. Aw heck, you just
do it if you have time, I just want to see it!)

While I was sorting, I came across arches and couldn't stop the fenders flashing through my head without building a Beetle at the same scale as my other cars. As always, the doors open. The front seats fold forward to let passengers into the back. (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jun-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town, lugnet.general, lugnet.announce, lugnet.modelteam) !!
