Lenny. Why is that? You're not an admin any more. Or are you? Or did you
resign again?

I'd like to say that I agree with Mark.  Eric and I haven't had the best of
relationships but I do know two things.  First, Eric usually means well,

"The road to hell is paved with good intentions." Meaning well is no
justification for the repeated chucking of tantrums.

Tantrum? You must have a thin skin. I have a different opinion. I didn't think
what you wrote was being nice so I wrote back. Simple.

and
second, it is easier to just let him do his thing.

What sort of lame-arse justification is that for his behaviour? I've been
watching him 'do his thing' for ages. Unfortunately 'his thing' involves
frequently posting lengthy tirades at even the smallest inkling that someone
might not be {utterly fascinated} with the minutiae of his life. BOOORING. So
I took a bit of a sarcastic pot-shot at something he wrote. Big deal! Do you
really think that his response, which was far more laden with negativity and
hate than {anything} I've ever posted here, was appropriate?

Your mean, lack compassion and make a big to do about what you call my
motivation. It was just a post about sorting! Big deal!

I don't need anyone to make "excuses" for me posting about sorting.
Issue is you just couldn't let me have fun without kicking me down for it.

First time you and I had a problem was on jlug when I started yelling at people
for going off topic in my Mana Cat post. A post where I asked people to please
stay on topic and to please make some positive contribution.

Ever since then you have been picking on me. All this hype about tantrums needs
to be squashed. If I argue with someone it is because of the classic internet
reasons. It is hard to communicate without the benifet of freindship and or
personal interaction.

I have stood up to many people who have mistreated me and who have fallen on the
band wagon. Nothing more. If you don't agree with me on something fine. I'm not
going to chew your head off. Talk with me and I'l talk back. Chime in like you
have some sort of master plan for me and I'm going to say NO NO you got me all
wrong. At times I can be blunt. At times I wish I never got involved. I can tell
you, if you gave me a chance you would see something different.

What's the harm in post
after post detailing how he took his mech bay apart?

No harm. Boring, but harmless. And, as I think I rightly pointed out, more
appropriate to the lugnet.storage group.

Sorting is boring! That's why I posted! Get it?

Where is the need for a
sarcastic and trollish responce?

Where is the 'need' for anything posted here? Why is my response being held
to a different standard here? If Eric had any sense in his brain he'd have
ignored it. I would've. If it's all the same to you, I'll continue to 'do my
thing' too. Don't like it? Tough. You too are free to stick your head in and
post 'your thing' too, but don't expect me to roll over just because you
don't like what I write.

Igonore? I ignored your last attack on me, this one I was not going to let go.
At least give me the respect in standing up for myself. Please don't give Lenny
a hard time. I have done enough of that. He loves Lego, so do you and I, right?

What does it do to not only hurt Eric, but
also hurt everyone else?

If it 'hurts' Eric, it by his own choice by reading 'hate' or whatever into a
post when there was none. It's time Eric learned to behave like an adult and
start accepting responsibility for his own attitude.

Look, I was just looking for a little compassion from fellow Lego fans in the
face of a daunting task. Sorting 3 months worth of work.
You could have said..."wow that must be a lot of work!, good luck, btw, how do
you go about sorting?..."

Or whatever way you would like to phrase it. Using sarcasm with a person you
clearly do not get along with is going to be a sticky proposition.
If we were cool we eachother, man, you could have half my Lego, I go to extremes
for my friends. Because if you don't have friends in this world what do we have.

So if I disagree about something, I'm not allowed to post it? Is that what
you're saying? If I find a post boring or pointless, I'm not allowed to say
so? Is LUGNET supposed to be all nice and sweet, irrespective of what people
{actually} think? That doesn't sound very healthy IMO. If so let's apply that
standard universally. I assure you, Eric's litany of negativity is far more
voluminous than mine, not to mention yours, so set your sights on the correct
target before posting your piece.

Disagree, sarcasm, which is it? Don't answer, please, let's just try to get
along. You look down on me, all I ever wanted is to reach out to Lego Fans.

Humor is best when it is shared amongst friends.  But I've seen a lot of
humor recently that has been pointed {at} someone.. usually someone weaker
who can't take it as easily.  It just doesn't make this place feel good.

So you're an authority on humour now? Pardon me if I LMAO.

Take what he said serious, your missing the point. Sometimes the humour is not
taken as directed because there is no common ground or trust between the people
in question.

Allister

So what about all of this, how are you, how is your son, and are you building
anything cool? Let's change the subject to something more positive.
