 | | Re: How to properly "announce" MOC's
|
| (...) I admit I have been tempted to do so already - however the figures as of now are not exactly meaningful yet. This may change rather quickly. I wouldn't want to encourage anyone to "click their posts up the charts" though, if you see what I (...) (18 years ago, 8-Jul-08, to lugnet.general, FTX)

| (...) Wow, that beauty would have been difficult to model on a larger scale to begin with - your job of adapting it to minifig scale was even more difficult... ...and solved successfully. Thanks for sharing, Jerry (18 years ago, 8-Jul-08, to lugnet.town, FTX)

 | | Some statistics based on the new read counter
|
| All, I just thought you might find this interesting: I have been monitoring the read counter for articles since its implementation last night (local time in Germany ;) ). Out of a grand total of approx. 693,000 articles in the LUGNET newsgroup tree, (...) (18 years ago, 8-Jul-08, to lugnet.general)

| (...) ;) You know, I actually could have implemented some kind of reload-blocking, but then again I'm pretty sure the effort wouldn't pay off in the long run. I have just checked the read counts collected since the update, and it lists some 16,000 (...) (18 years ago, 8-Jul-08, to lugnet.general, FTX)

 | | Re: How to properly "announce" MOC's
|
| Just a quick update: I've taken a little time and implemented a read-counter for web access to news posts. Now for display of individual articles you will find a new header line saying "Viewed: X times" - it should show the actual views of that (...) (18 years ago, 7-Jul-08, to lugnet.general, FTX) !

| (...) Hi Gary, I take that as a valuable suggestion for what might be changed in the near future, however it is somewhat difficult to tell how often a post has been read as we have more ways to access posts than just the web. Still even after all (...) (18 years ago, 7-Jul-08, to lugnet.general, FTX)

 | | Re: Server Outage between 11:30 and 15:30 GMT today
|
| I'm sorry but there is a small update in the aftermath of the server maintenance (few of you may have noticed): Due to a misconfiguration the mail2news-gateway has malfunctioned for the period between yesterday, July 2, 21:00 GMT and today, July 3, (...) | Wow, great work on the tanker, seriously. I admit I had to think about the "viking wheels" for a minute since I completely missed (sort of) the viking line and was simply unaware of these parts. They sure fit perfectly for this use. Great idea. (...) (18 years ago, 3-Jul-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

| Hi, while I do not know the original building, I particularly like the way you did the roof construction, as that is an approach that I have been considering for my buildings for quite some time. The obvious drawback is that you can only build (...) (18 years ago, 3-Jul-08, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX)

 | | Server Outage between 11:30 and 15:30 GMT today
|
| Hi all, this is just to inform you that we had an unplanned server outage today (July 2nd, 2008), taking LUGNET offline from 11:30 to 15:30 GMT. The primary cause was a blown power supply with the main server, which subsequently burned some parts of (...) (18 years ago, 2-Jul-08, to lugnet.announce)
