  Create a List of Curators

This post to admin.curators suggests that there be a list of curators somewhere: (URL) reasons for and against were posted in followups, my take (may be wrong) was that the "for" had it. Wasn't sure how much work it would be to do though. It (...) (23 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Re: revisiting the plan

(...) Disagree. BrickLink is making a good revenue stream by providing a subset of the Plan services in this area, without regard to eBay whatever. Commerce is more than auctions, much more. (23 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.admin.finance)

  Re: revisiting the plan

(...) That's TWO awesome ideas you put in so far, Cary! (1) LOVE this idea... offload the complexity of taking orders etc and of figuring out what to order away from LD which just receives bulk orders sans retail headaches. Who bursts and ships (...)   Re: Easy way to see the group charter

(...) Sorry for not providing a better ref but this particular suggestion for amelioration was dealt with within the thread that the post I referenced was a part of. Post #1 is not always the (most recent, and therefore definitive) charter, IIRC. (23 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Suggestions to make .market better

(...) (Dan answered this one) (...) A FAQ is a good idea and exists already. Whether it can or should give advice about proper behaviour is an open question, but in and of itself doesn't ENSURE that this doesn't happen. That takes guidance, and in (...)   Re: New group

(...) I usually post to the local group (loc.us.ga and loc.us.ga.mumble(s) in this case) as well as sometimes the local org if I know it (org.us.ngltc for example in this case) as that usually reaches people (and I do it a fair bit given how much I (...)   revisiting the plan

It may be useful for people thinking about financial aspects of LUGNET to revisit the LUGNET plan, especially these sections: (URL) especially 8. Other venues have garnered some of the revenue streams at this point of course. (23 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.admin.finance) !

Easy way to see the group charter

Easy way to see the group charter (from NNTP and or mail?) (URL) which kind of jumps into the middle... this is not the most well formed suggestion of the bunch. It's also the last one for now, my 1040 calls... but people are invited to go digging (...) (23 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Marketing charter clarification

General charter clarification about what sort of marketing is allowed in groups not in the market hierarchy: A suggestion has been made more than once that this be made more explicit. The current overall LUGNET charter is clear about auctions. It (...) (23 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Charter Change for market.buy-sell-trade and market.brickshops

Charter Change for market.buy-sell-trade and market.brickshops: There is a sense among some that the market.brickshops charter is unclear. There are two competing suggestions in this area. Both parties agree that the charter for brickshops as (...) (23 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Edit suspended posts

Edit suspended posts: (URL) and subsequent posts... a desire to allow an edit my message button to the posting approval form (for mail/news posts I think... you already have "preview" for web posts) (23 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Posting Dates

Posting dates: (URL) and subsequent posts... there may or may not be a desire to somehow give special handling to posts that seem to be "old", that is, posts that didn't get approved right away.   Re: Ideas ready to be shot down

I'm breaking my resolution here for good reason, I think. (...) We differ there only in the impact of one post, it's a good thread. I seriously posted my suggestion in the spirit of the thread, as a thought starter. I doubt it would be implemented (...) (23 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.admin.finance)

Re: Ideas ready to be shot down

(...) It is a bit confusing to determine what you're doing and when, there. But I think Kevin chose on the basis of price (as in, he gets more of the fee than if he went with a comparable service) rather than ease of use. I managed to figure it out (...)   Re: Ideas ready to be shot down

(...) Oh, I dunno... I think the idea has merit. How about if users vote on how much posters have to pay? Then the posters that most users find most annoying won't get to annoy us so much unless they have very deep pockets. Heck, if this went far (...) (23 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.admin.finance)
