  Re: a wandering mind . . .

(...) As someone trying to hoard all of the werewolves and Nesquik bunnies that he can, I'd have to say yes. I have a project that I need these all for, but really can't progress untill I can get a bunch of those bunnies for a lot cheaper than the (...) (22 years ago, 10-Feb-03, to lugnet.fabuland)

Re: The Brick Testament: Abimelech, King of Israel

Hey Brendan, How's this for turn-around? :) 69 Sons: The idol is really well done. I especially like the bug-eye things with the helmets. The floor idea with the turntable halves is also very nice. In 9:3-4 are those chrome silver coins? If so, (...) (19 years ago, 9-May-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Re: what makes a legend?

(...) I would have to say that what made Lego such a great toy in the 80s was the level of sophistication in the design. That sophistication is why you have a huge adult follow up these days. This is how kids play: the get the toy, examine it (...) (23 years ago, 21-Oct-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

today's good and bad lego experiences....

I'll start off this post / rant by saying that I didn't have any funky (day) dreams / nightmares, visions, etc. etc. What this post stems from is two separate Lego experiences that happened today.   Clearance LEGO at Rome-Hilliard Meijer

I was at the Meijer on Rome-Hilliard today, and noticed that they had moved an awful lot of LEGO to the toy clearance rack (in the main aisle on the left side of the store), and they had another cart of brickware that had a hand-lettered clearance (...)   Is the Technic brand being phased out?

After putting together the cool new 8010 Darth Vader "Technic Set" last night, I noticed that the box does not even say "Technic" on it.
