  Re: MOC: Marine Pedestal Crane

(...) The geared 9V motors are great. It's been proven that they're much more efficient than the old ones. They suck less current, and their internal gear reduction has less friction losses than a built-up gear reduction. The 12V motors may be more (...)   Re: The future of LDraw?

--snip-- (...) --snip-- (...) Honestly I don't think LDD is so much of a competitor for many people. Its limited parts pallette keeps it quite restrictive. LDraw will always be the high end tool for LEGO CAD due to its versatility and when people (...) (15 years ago, 14-Mar-10, to lugnet.cad)

Parts authoring status update (patterns, PATTERNS!)

Here's something I'm working on, the first part in which I'm using the chord.dat primitive that I posted here the other day. (URL) obviously not done yet, but I'm getting there. And I've been redoing a number of old parts lately, mainly fixing parts (...) (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Bulk brick pricing (WAS:Re: Design your own 1000 piece tub)

(...) Not me either. Zellers may have from time to time, but the only bucket I remember in any quantity was 4285, the Basic. That may have been up to two years ago even. There are assorted tubs in Walmart. I think I've seen the 4105 there and also (...) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.general)

Bulk brick pricing (WAS:Re: Design your own 1000 piece tub)

(...) Excellent. I'm going to be near one tonight... hoping they still have stock of these. (...) Agree 100%. So here's my question. In Toronto area Zellers stores, are you finding *any* tubs or buckets? The answer for this part of Ontario is a (...) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.general)

(...) Uh, no, actually, my typo. But the $19.97 4107 is still available at Toys R Us. I got like six when they first went on sale, but AFAIK the sale is still on. (...) Is the 4107 really available at Zellers stores in your area? Or is this wishful thinking? As far as I have seen in the London/Stratford/Kitchener area, they are only available at Toys 'R Us or Bricks & Blocks in St. Jacob's (formerly the (...)   New Megabloks molds!

Today I discovered that Megabloks has started using new molds, at least for its 2x4 bricks. A few days ago I built set #9762 Destroyer. Somehow the bricks felt different. WHEW! This topic of feedback has grown so big and deep that I figure I might as well go into the pre-LUGNET, pre-RTL, pre-online world that many of us AFOL's lived in. Here's the Q. Did you get feedback 10, 15, 20 yrs or more ago from your MOC's? A (...) (22 years ago, 17-Dec-02, to lugnet.general)

Stupid Lego Projects was Re: 10024 - Red Baron

(...) When I was younger (I think Grade 3), I built some really dumb projects. One of them, was a fish feeder. I had surmised that fish would follow something that dispensed food so I built a small 4x4 box out of 4x1 Technic beams and hung it from a (...)
