Hello,

A quick stop at TRU in Union Square found a few of the new 2003 sets: At-Te
& a bunch of the Orient sets....

It's similar at Times Square. I really enjoyed seeing the new stuff. But can
you believe the 4107 tub is $26.99 now? Breezeway Cafe is there. It looks so
old-timey in its simplicity. Customers still stare in disbelief at the Lego
sculptures: does Lego make bricks like that? One kid figured they were
Megabloks. The Bionicle "creator" set is here: a bunch of pieces makes a
bunch of different Bio-nimals. This is a good concept, but on the front of
the box it says they are "bricks". It's hard to think of these as bricks
when there are no square things inside.

They had a bunch of the Galidor dolls as well for $2.98.

Galidor is full price at Times Square. They even have a new life-size
stand-up Jens robot by the main floor entrance (along with HP, NBA, Soccer.)
They are flogging it even harder than last June. Still no Allegra. (Sniff!)
Otherwise it's still Gorm, Gorm, Nicholas and more Gorm.
<http://news.lugnet.com/market/shopping/?n=9575> Maybe Gorm is cooler?

Off-topic: Fortress TRU has a "Reactrix" machine. It projects computer
graphics on the floor and watches for customers to step on them. So, you can
"kick" virtual balls, step on paint-by-number pictures, chase animals, and
play other games. Kids love this, especially little tiny ones.

Sorry if this is a little complainey.
