Happy Easter! A LEGO Cat Mosaic

Hey! Like I said, here is a LEGO mosaic of a cat just in time for Easter. (URL) not made like many mosaics with the bricks facing up on a baseplate-it stands like a wall. The whole thing is 36 studs across and 47 bricks high (not including the green (...) (24 years ago, 15-Apr-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general) !!

In lugnet.castle, Mark van 't Hooft writes: Hi all, I posted some pictures of a tower I created in my quest to create a yellow castle using a modular design (my first humble attempt). The tower measures 12x12 and is 22 bricks high. I also added (...) (24 years ago, 16-Apr-01, to lugnet.castle)

Ok, so when I got my 2nd Rock Raiders HQ home, I just couldn't resist.... (URL) currently only 2 levels, but will probably be 3 or 4 (that's including the basement) and have a 'roof' level on top. The lower level consists of 3 areas: - dungeon - (...) (24 years ago, 15-Apr-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Reply-To setting in mailing lists

(...) Chris, The quick answer is that the list software you're using is called "ezmlm" (URL). A more complete answer, however, is that you're actually on a pure- mailing-list half of a bidirectional mailing-list-to-newsgroup gateway. That is, some (...)   Re: Castle Builing Questions

(...) Ok, I just have to ask-- what have other people done for these? While checking out real castles in France, there was just periodically a DEEP hole with the top in a bench somewhere (these were along the castle walls). So you'd need to have a (...)   Hoping for new Castle theme in 2002 and beyond...

Dear LEGO, After opening up and sorting through 35 (!?!) Chrome Knights Kingdom sets (4816-4817-4818-4819) today, I can't help but long for the sets of the 1980s for the Castle line. Although that is indeed unfortunate, it does add a certain versimilitude to the wall. I once set a styrene model of a Klingon D-7 on top of a lamp - just for a second! - and the result was catastrophic. (...) (24 years ago, 21-Apr-01, to lugnet.general)

  Wall construction - 1xN or 2xN?

I'm curious what other builders use to build their walls, 1xN's or 2xN's? When I was a kid, I used 2x's for my walls. After my dark ages, I used 1x's, primarily because of cost. You get more linear studs of wall per dollar. All of the windows and (...) (23 years ago, 13-May-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Wall construction - 1xN or 2xN?

I say that it also depends a lot on the building, in some cases 2x is the solition, other times 1x. Larger / taller buildings might been better in 2x to carry more and makes them more stable. David Lewis <dlewis@seanet.com> wrote in message (...) (23 years ago, 13-May-01, to lugnet.build)
