| Hi, there is no problem! ;-) I have also an "old" rcx1.0 with a mindstorm 1.5 kit. some weeks ago I have to build the 2.0 kit with the rcx1.5 (one reason is, I needed an usb tower). So I update both rcx withe the newest firmware from LEGOs website (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.robotics)

| Starting with the original NXTGCC source, if I disable binsert in the makefile, the firmware crashes on boot. The firmware development which I am doing will probably increase the size of the firmware by around 20KB, so I'm wondering if I need to do (...) | I too am impressed with the amount of work that went into this release. After a few days playing around with it, I have a few comments: 1) braking seems to be proportional to power (at power=0, brake is not very effective) -- Lego firmware appears (...) | (...) How are you running NQC? If you are using MacNQC ((URL) under the 'RCX' menu there is "download firmware". A valid firmware file (firm0327.lgo) needs to be in the firmware folder. | Thanks to Dick Swan's help I have managed to get BricxCC downloading firmware in fast mode with the USB tower.
