It's funny that you should bring this up - I've had exactly the same
problems with several RCX's and downloading firmware from BrixCC.
The only solution I've been able to find is to download the firmware
using the RIS2.0 software and then return to BrixCC to do the
programming.
I'll be interested in what other solutions and, particularly,
explanations are put forward....
Incidentally, my downloads always fail at the "0008" point (as
displayed on the RCX). Thereafter, I can't download anything, from
either BrixCC or RIS2.0 until I turn the RCX off and on again. This
problem is annoying, but at least it's consistant.
