Actually, its not a general programming question. Efficiency of something like events is heavily dependent on the operating system (in this case the Lego firmware). This is because even in passive mode there is a pull up of 10k to 5V, and in fact the LED is glowing dimly in this mode. Just tried it, I can get raw (...) Hi, I'm trying to install legOS 0.2.4 on my rcx from a windows system. I need to use it for a computer programming class I'm taking. I'm Tamotsu Kamigaki from Japan. I am teaching the Computer Science in university. I had already modified the RcxCC to support the Scout and the USB IrTower that is included in RIS2.0 set. I've tested your RcxCC version, and it works great with RCX2 (AFAIK). (ah, and still works simultaneously with CyberMaster too, eheh) That reminds me, one very useful thing for people working with various pBricks simultaneously (like myself), would (...) Just thought I'd better report this... Firmdl3 is unable to download very large statically linked programs (with a .text segment greater than 4c00h bytes). Hi Stephen, you will not have success with this approach, because the LEGO firmware has no collision detection (especially no collision avoidance !) for their IR protocol. I haven't actually tested with a brick containing the RCX2 firmware, but when I put an RCX2-only command in a program it compiles fine when I've selected RCX2 but (...) hi Gordon, nice idea, don't have a remote control and so I'm totally unaware of what it's doing. But I imagine the remote control just sends the direct commands (identical to the direct commands send by the IR-tower). So you will have to download (...)
