I've just uploaded another revision that implements several new features:

Okay, another round of fixes/modifications.  Sorry I'm making these changes
so fast.  I am *really* interested in hearing from anyone who is trying out
my revised RcxCC, by the way. :-)

Anyway, this version (available from the link above) implements:

1) Fixes in the Send Message window which allow you to type a message number
greater than 9 into the edit control without requiring you to use the
Up/Down buttons.  This was requested by Bernd Frassek.

2) Changes to the Upload Datalog function which may fix a "Variant is not an
array" error some users were seeing.  I haven't tested it on a real brick
yet so I can't promise it will work any better than it did before.  But it
might. :-)

3) Timeouts added when launching NQC which *may* fix the program hanging
problem some users are having.  The timeout is currently hard-coded to 60
seconds.  I'll more than likely make that user-configurable.  When you
download the firmware using NQC (which only happens if the Spirit.ocx is not
installed) then the timeout is disabled since I didn't have a good idea how
long it takes to download the firmware via NQC.

4) Opening a file with a read-only attribute will now correctly mark it as
read-only in the editor.

5) Pasting from the clipboard should work properly regardless of whether the
text was copied from an HTML document or not.  (This, in theory, was fixed a
couple revisions ago).

6) Fixes to the context-sensitive help system that improve it somewhat.  I
need to revise the help file significantly, but as it is it should work
better.  The version of RcxCC prior to my revisions did not properly install
the help file based on the source code, anyway.  It should be located (along
with the .cnt file) in a sub-directory called "Help" below the directory in
which you place the rcxcc.exe executable.  My changes make it so that
placing the caret on a keyword, command, or constant and pressing F1 should
launch the help system and show the appropriate topic in the help window.
Previous to my revisions you had to actually select the keyword, command, or
constant you wished to obtain context-sensitive help on before pressing F1
(and you had to put the help file in the proper location).  The zip I just
uploaded includes the Help sub-directory and its two files (rcxcc.hlp and
rcxcc.cnt).

7) Added a user preference to show compiler status.  Now that the NQC
console window doesn't flash on the screen while compiling it can be
difficult to notice that it really did successfully compile your program.
If you wish, you can turn on this setting and you will get a success/failure
message box when the compilation is completed.  I've also added an error
message that will display if the program is unable to execute NQC for some
reason (e.g., it isn't located on the path or in the same directory as
rcxcc.exe).

8) Fixed a bug I introduced in the Page Setup dialog.  You can now properly
enter the values for the various margin settings.

9) Fixed the program Icon so it is back to the one in the original RcxCC.

10) Added a "click on the bookmark to make it go away" feature.  Remember
that you can set bookmarks via Ctrl+Shift+0 ... Ctrl+Shift+9.  Clicking on
the marker that appears in the Gutter will clear that bookmark.

11) Added a right-click popup menu in the editor window which replicates the
standard undo/redo/cut/copy/paste/delete/selectall functionality.

LMKWYT,

John Hansen
