| I have updated the toolchain little bit: *the binsert utility reads binary file info directly from the standard firmware image (and you do not have to cut out the file sections manually) *the demo program executes, which is probably what some have (...) | OK... Really DUMB question but I have to give my borrowed RCX back and buy my own so I went to remove legOS from my mates RCX to give it back and guess what... it won't go! :( I looked in the HOWTO and it says hold down Prgm and press the on.off (...) Note that the RCX draws very little power when turned off, and thus can retain memory for a while even without any batteries (cacitance on the power supply rails hold the RAM for a while). | Excellent outline; however I think it is a too "Mindstorms" focused. Perhaps the name should be changed to "Mindstorms and Lego-robotics FAQ". Many newcomers ask for pointers to using the Mindstorms hardware (RCX/firmware) outside of a pure LEGO (...) (26 years ago, 1-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)
