  Re: Set Identification

Michael, The first set you described sounds like it could be the 8422. I picked it up recently and it is a nice model with 300+ pieces. It is very similar to the blue 8417 motorbike. Keith Blumenthal (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jun-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Pokemon Lego sculpture

Nice job on those sculptures...especially on Bulbasaur's head and eyes and also the bulb. Perhaps its body needs to be a bit bigger but I won't quibble. They are better than anything I've tried. How about trying Psyduck next 8). Keith Blumenthal (...) (23 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.build)

  Bypass for 8428 game?

Hi! Do any of you out there who own a 8428 dune buggy know of a way around the arcade game so that I can see the other car designs and don't end up getting carpal tunnel syndrome in the process? Keith Blumenthal (25 years ago, 18-Feb-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Broken 8448 Shocks

(...) I did this a few weeks ago myself. Just call Lego Shop @ Home and they will transfer you over to customer service and they will send you the replacement shocks for free. The number for Shop@Home is 1-800-835-4386. Keith Blumenthal (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.general)

  8461 - wrong piece?

Hi I just finished putting this beautiful model together however during construction I found I was missing a technic axle of length 8 but had an extra technic axle of length 5. Anybody else have this problem or am I the only unlucky one? Keith (...) (22 years ago, 25-Sep-02, to lugnet.technic)

Why no 8450 or 8482 in US?

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone out there knows why the Lego Technic 8450 "Mission" and 8482 "Cybermaster" sets have not been released in the US? From what I can see, they have been available to the rest of the world for a while now. Thanks. (...) (24 years ago, 9-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Favorite Technic sets

Good question! I would say my top three are: 1. 8001 - Star Wars Battle Droid - Great looks, great functionality. As perfect a set as I seen from Lego. 2. 8480 - Space Shuttle - Most sophisticated in functionality. Challenging to build. 3. 8462 - (...) (24 years ago, 31-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Bionicle truck seen in Berkeley

This weekend while walking around downtown Berkeley, CA. with a friend, all of a sudden at an intersection I saw this grey pickup truck decorated with huge Lego Bionicle stickers and had a big brown circular container attached to the roof.   Re: In line for Episode 2 Already? Sheesh!

Several TRU's are gonna have the Midnight Madness when Episode II toys come out. Check out www.theforce.net and look under Collecting. They have a list of all participating TRU locations. BTW. I'm more excited about the new Lego's on April 23rd than (...) (22 years ago, 11-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)

My DSDK AT AT Walks backwards

Perhaps someone else has had this problem. I've built the DSDK AT AT twice now (very cool!) and have followed the instructions to the letter (I think) however for some reason when I have finished it walked backwards instead of forwards. I was able (...) (24 years ago, 11-Sep-00, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: 8462 Super Tow Truck

(...) Rob, I got the 8462 Tow Truck a couple of months ago and it is quite attractive and challenging to build. Definitely worth getting. In order for it to tow the 8448 Super Street Sensation you need to slighly modify the tire holder on the 8462 (...) (25 years ago, 13-Mar-00, to lugnet.technic)

Re: 8458 Silver Champion's on the way in the USA

Putting three sheets of grocery bag paper in the box does not constitute proper box padding. With the premium that we are paying (...) (24 years ago, 18-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Motor Drivers for higher voltages

I was looking for the data sheet for the Melexis 10402 motor driver IC, the one in the RCX. It is no longer on their website. I eventually found it, and have posted it here: (URL) want to drive 24V motors and use the RCX to control them. Ideally I (...) (23 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Look what I found!

Re: about the episode 2 sets, my thoughts as to what happened

WalMart HAS put a Sell Not Allowed on the Episode II stuff. However, if they have the sets out on the floor, it's pretty hard for them not to sell it to you. In visiting some Walmarts in my area this past weekend I found 3 stores that had one or (...) (22 years ago, 8-Apr-02, to lugnet.starwars)
