| | How LEGO FACTORY can stimulate AFOL interest (and sales).
|
| I was looking at the Lego Factory site yesterday. And like some other AFOLs I was rather disappointed with the Micro Lego scale. I don't care much for those 1x1 headlights (or pigeon holes as I like to call them) used as windows. It is too bad that (...) (20 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

| | Re: Appraisal of Old Style Lego
|
| (...) Rachel, Do they all say "LEGO" on the studs? Most of the 1949-56 Lego does not, 1957-present does. The 1x6 and 1x8 beams without posts (as they are known versus the tubes on the 2x bricks) were made that way until 1964 (until 1970 in some (...) (20 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

| | Identifying AFOLs on LUGNET
|
| I had this idea last night, and I was wondering if it makes sense (I'm sure I'll hear from pro's and con's). Here it is: What if Lugnetter had a 4 digit code to identify them from a Lego collector perspective. Here's what I mean: 1st digit: (collect (...) (20 years ago, 23-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

You would always need a cheat sheet of sorts, and (...) (20 years ago, 23-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

| (...) Ronald, Well yes I can answer that question...(in greater detail in my upcoming CD). #271 is the "unknown" spare parts pack. #271 Traffic Police Set came into production around 1956. It was produced until about 1964 and only in continental (...) (20 years ago, 24-Nov-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Here it shows that the first Lego motor actually came out in late 1965 in the USA to be used (...) (20 years ago, 25-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

| (...) Hey Ronald, I did forget one additional thing about the #271 sets. There was also a #1271 set. This was the same set. From 1955-58 Denmark, Sweden and Norway had their own numbering system for Lego sets and Lego spare parts packs that had an (...) (20 years ago, 25-Nov-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

When Lego sloped bricks first came out in 1958 (in red, blue slopes came in production in 1960), it was one of a 13 piece roof system. The other 12 pieces are still in production, but (...)
