  Re: Greatest Adventurer Movies

(...) does (...) Glad to know I won something. Thanks for adding that section, it's tough to be the KING isn't it? I am also glad to know that I am not the only person in the world who thought that Joe and Cabinboy were greatness. Granted they don't (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: 2000 A-Wing comments

  MF

Concerning the recent posts on the disappointing MF pics. There is no doubt that the final MF will still suffer from the 2 main problems of the System series: playability and payability ;-) It can in no way live up to the expectations each of us (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

BT2 *mostly* bites (Was: Picture of Falcon?)

(...) :-D (...) If so, I hope BT3 would be much better than most of the dreck they tried to pass off as BT2... That theme gave us the goobered-up and utterly useless jetpack piece. They completey did away with the semi-morbid military black suits of (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.space)

Re: I've been offered a pirated set described as...

On Mon, 25 Oct 1999, Scott-A (<FK61un.GAC@lugnet.com>) wrote at 16:01:30 (...) Indigo Island is the UK name. (...) Sort of - it's part of the Islander sub-theme. There are a couple of pirate minifigs in it, as well as a bunch of islanders, including (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Picture of Falcon?

(...) Are these model builders TLG model builders? If so, can we smack them with a clue stick? :-, Cheers, - jsproat (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: I've been offered a pirated set described as...

(...) A) Presumably, but I can't tell you yes definitively. What country is the seller in? B) Yes, but that's only a techicality. The Islanders sub-theme is officially part of the Pirates line, and includes a few odd pirates figures, but you can (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: A change in attitude: was Big Brother is Watching (and reading, too!)

(...) This has already been done in book-form, right? Didn't Richard do something like this for his school/class? I think a paper version could work, but I think a digital version would be easier to do. I know I'd be willing to pay for a few dozen (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: LDraw pieces printing

(...) LDAO does have a catalog print function, which is a quick way of printing the bricks. Or you can look for Patrick's printable catalog, which has a better/more compact layout. You can find a link to the catalog by searching lugnet.cad.dev for (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Picture of Falcon?

(...) I didn't see it quite that big, but about that, yeah. (...) Look at the ATT picture on www.theouterrim.com. It uses the hull pieces, the deceorations are very effective. If TLG hadn't printed the quarter-hulls, the ATT would not look nearly as (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Big Brother is Watching (and reading, too!)

(...) Ditto. I've done this, so have many others. Rather than buying a bunch of buckets to part out to make money to try to come up with enough to try to persuade TLG into doing this (which is what I THINK I'm hearing Jodi suggest) I'd say we draw (...)   Re: A change in attitude: was Big Brother is Watching (and reading, too!)

(...) I'd be interested. As for payment (obviously depending on how long the custom hopper takes to ldraw), can you say "blue hopper"? ;) More seriously, while reading today's messages, I started wondering about the viability of selling instructions (...)   What can I do with a robot?

A question for all of you fantastic robotics enthusiasts out there: I have to do a final year project next year, and I'm getting a head start on designing it. I've been told that I can do pretty much what I like with a robot, as long as it has a lot (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: Big Brother is Watching (and reading, too!)

(...) Well, I'm not Larry, but I think he's talking venture capital. Or venture consortium. Probably the second, actually, looking at context. (...) As I mentioned in my other post there are easily 8 or 9 people I can think of, just off the top of (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Larry, what is VC???? (...) and the sales base that we have in our local stores. Just like Todd and Suzanne do in buying 10 sets and auctioning them off, we will be running a large base for bulk buying from the LUGNET community. If we find (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: A change in attitude: was Big Brother is Watching (and reading, too!)

(...) I wonder...perhaps one could make a good profit with such models sold through eBay (or even a "Star Wars Idea CD" or something like that)? We could end up with a cottage industry of modules for building themed models, sort of a merchandised (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Adventurers in 2000?

(...) Nope, won't work. TLG rejects any and all unsolicited outside suggestions, no matter what form they take. It's rigorous lawsuit avoidance behavior, so people can't go after TLG, claiming that TLG stole their ideas. Steve "Never trust anything (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Need ideas for vehicle

Thanks to all who have responded. I have heard quite a few new ideas which intrigue me to say the least. I would also like to thank Lawrence for the pictures of his vehicle. I will be giving them a closer look as time goes on. I have decided this (...) (27 years ago, 25-Oct-99, to lugnet.space)
