  Re: New Mecha: The Tribunal

(...) and to think I almost abandoned this project when Mark posted his mecha tank! (...) Maybe on my next design, but this one was built out of what I had available in the tan , brown, and that wierd color I have yet to name (...) Thank you, little (...)   Re: Hey, whatever happened to Shiri Dori?

(...) Well, if you want to be precise, might as well get it right - AFAIK she was going to the Technion (which is quite different from UoH - it's like saying Boston College instead of MIT :). Dan (20 years ago, 29-Nov-05, to lugnet.people)

Re: Talking Point: seelking light sensors WAS -- Re: [rtlToronto] rtlToronto20 Draft Rules Posted

(...) Actually I would consider this good news. I was getting concerned about how I would distinguish between lights and light sensors. I knew if people shrouded them it would significantly reduce the problem, but you can't count on people doing (...) (20 years ago, 29-Nov-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

New Part: 41530 Propellor 8 Blade 5 Diameter  [DAT]

This is a cool little part that can work as an escape wheel for a clock. I wanted a dat file for it, but nobody seems to have made one, so I made my own. This is my first try at making a dat part, so please let me know if I made some mistakes. (...) (20 years ago, 29-Nov-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

Re: Talking point: beacon light on or off while robot in motion

(...) Im going to take a guess that people dont like to see "mom and dad" fighting (1) and are willing to accept whatever you and I decide on. Chris 1. you can be the mom (20 years ago, 29-Nov-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Exporting Minifig to Maya - edgy model

(...) It's certainly theoretically possible to convert much of the geometry with high polygon counts. LDraw primitives are such that a smart converter can use aribtrary complexity for cylinders, spheres, tori, etc. Having said that, it doesn't sound (...)   Re: Talking point: beacon light on or off while robot in motion

(...) It's not you, it's the rest of these folks: Where's all the proponents of this game Chris so triumphantly paraded like contestants in a beauty pageant? DaveK? JohnG? Iain? Or are they all just happy to accept? I'd like to freeze the ruleset by (...) (20 years ago, 29-Nov-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Talking point: beacon light on or off while robot in motion

(...) Hey, I have a lot more to say, but I've been one, busy, and two, very sick. I don't think the discussion needs to be instantaneous, this is a message board, not a phone call. If you want to end discussion, then set a date for it, don't just (...) (20 years ago, 29-Nov-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Meeting Dec 3rd in Monrovia

(...) Plenty of space at my place. We usually hang out in the LEGO area aka the garage and have tables flow into the driveway. If you have space to bring tables go for it. Typically though we have plenty of table space. I don't think the email has (...) (20 years ago, 29-Nov-05, to lugnet.org.us.lugola)

  Re: Mindstorms on Slashdot

(...) I have a hard time believing that the assertions about LEGO backing away from mindstorms is true. LEGO has done a great thing by creating "First LEGO League". It is successful internationally, and is based on competitions with solutions built (...) (20 years ago, 29-Nov-05, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.mediawatch)

Exporting Minifig to Maya - edgy model

Hey, I've been stuck with this problem for a while, so now I've come here for a discussion. It's quite simple actually, but I must say that I'm fairly new in the 3d world so I might have missed something crucial here. 1. I've made a simple minifig (...)   Re: Hey, whatever happened to Shiri Dori?

(...) I heard from Shiri back in August. It sounds like she's busy with college stuff (she's working on a masters), and maybe a little bit of boyfriend stuff. She did comment she had just purchased an X-Pod set, but her collection is stored in her (...) (20 years ago, 29-Nov-05, to lugnet.people)

Re: Need help with12v/4.5v SWITCH TRACK

Very good. The operation is just exactly like LIONEL switch points! The power for the switch point motor must be routed through the metal center rails - coming from the transformer. Does the transformer need to be at full throttle or do the points (...) (20 years ago, 29-Nov-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: LDraw.org MOTM/SOTM Relaunch

(...) Yep, looks good. I did notice that the January 2000 MOTM entry has a broken link for its actual image while browsing, but all the others I looked at worked fine. --Travis (20 years ago, 29-Nov-05, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Talking point: beacon light on or off while robot in motion

  Re: Space Coupé

Re: Hey, whatever happened to Shiri Dori?
