Right, but why not demand a switched light as per the current rules, and then
it's up to you to do whatever you want in addition?

The Square Brackets exist so people don't get confused with when the events are
scheduled. There was a fantastic example of Dave using the brackets and Oliver
coming in about a day after asking "So I'm confused, when is the dinner?"
Square Brackets are used for official announcements like dinners, events and
photo archives. Since most of the folks here couldn't organize themselves out
of a paper bag, these official announcements are needed.
These Talking Points might be useful if there was active debate, such that the
points separated them out for people to differentiate long threads. Problem is,
there aren't any long threads. I'm talking to all you goofballs who thought
this was a great contest but haven't said anything about it.
Frankly, I'm going to lock the rules if I don't see anything else on it. Bricks
for the wall, light goes off.
