  Vignettes at Brickfest 2005

At Janey's request I individually photograhed every vignette at Brickfest 2005. I tried to include the MOC card in every photograph (although they sometimes appear out of focus due to the closeup nature of the photo). The gallery can be found here: (...)   Re: Jake's keynote

(...) Somehow, I don't think BBB wheels will be in the parts list for LDD Trains :) and, while the representatives from the LEGO company didn't say no to loooking into track geometries, no one thought to ask about steam drivers :( Chris (21 years ago, 16-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: What age gap?

(...) Joe, My son just turned five, and like your son, he started playing with my 9v trains when he was four. Nonetheless, I do not think our sons are typical; they both grew up in houses packed with LEGO trains. There are two ways one can interpret (...) (21 years ago, 16-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Schpiffkraft Hakenkreuz

(...) My apologies too Allister. You're one of the very few who've posted something constructive in this thread.   Re: The first of the BrickFest vignette pics are coming in...

(...) At Janey's request I individually photographed every vignette at Brickfest. I tried to have the MOC card for each visible in each photo. I've upload the pics to Brickshelf at I'll let eveyone know when the folder is public. -Orion (21 years ago, 15-Aug-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

(...) Janey Cook's TV vigs (...) Scott Quirk's excellent "guess the Shakespeare quote" vigs. The blue-and-black item on the left edge had doors to flip open, with the scene, act, and play name for each of the vigs. (...) This one escapes me, but I (...)   Re: Brickfest 2005 Questions

Re: container in a container error

(...) This just was an forgotten bug that with older Robolab versions didn't harm. The solution is to remove the "Value of red container" and replace it by a blue container constant list ("User3") while selecting "RED". -Claude (21 years ago, 15-Aug-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

  Brickfest 2005 Questions

Re: James Jessiman Memorial Award for 2005

(...) And that is a very good choice! The LDRAW format plus MLCad has really spread 'virtual Lego building' around the globe. MLCad really makes *real* Lego CAD affordable and attainable for everyone! Congratulations Michael! Well deserved. (21 years ago, 15-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Hi Tim (...) Thanks for the compliments. Except for the windows as ladders, basically every snot trick applies the simple 2x5 rule.   Re: EMD F7 Mt. Newman Mining Company

Check it out: Lost In Space and The Brady Bunch: (URL) A whole lot of vigs.   Re: Fire Station

The eating pizza in turnout gear bit is interestingly accurate - it is against the rules in many fire departments, because it dirties building floors, but its a rule that people can break freely. It really depends on the type of gear the FD uses - (...) (21 years ago, 15-Aug-05, to lugnet.town)

  What age gap?

I've heard much talk lately about trying to bridge the gap between preschoolers (Duplo) and older kids (9V trains) -- for example, the new "play train" line announced this weekend. I don't see this gap, though. My son is turning 5 soon, and he loves (...) (21 years ago, 15-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Great show!

  Re: Simplest steerable car chassis
