Yes and no. Much more detail was given on LEGO Factory. More future product
information than ever before ("Technic palette by mid next year" [per
Larry's post in lugnet.trains] - no more of Brad's canned response of "No
theme is dead.").

No. I think bulk packs are disappearing (instead we get LEGO Factory - which
is said to be cheaper per piece the larger the creation). There were also
hints at discounts for serious bulk. I heard rumors that LEGO Factory will
have some mechanism to detect "bulk order" creations though (of course such
will be easy to fool, and/or will have false hits [especially for things
like huge flags - a 4'x6' French flag would have three huge bands of red,
white, and blue for instance]).

| (...) Thanks for the reply Frank. Though I read the previous posts on BrickFest, your reply helped elucidate some details. Now I wonder how I can get a hold of the DVD! I did not see any details posted on it (perhaps I missed it). (19 years ago, 15-Aug-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest)
