Re: Color change: Let's go straight to the CEO!

(...) While I agree that the color change was a bad decision for Lego to have made, I'm almost even MORE nervous about them changing back. I don't want to see an already struggling TLC put millions into a reverse change, which probably wouldn't (...) (21 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.color)

Re: !!! Gameboy controller for Lego

(...) I tore into one of these a while back. Nice PWM motor control and encoders on the wheels. The reason they don't work is that whoever coded up the PID loop to control the motors obviously had no idea what he/she was doing. I have not yet taken (...)   Re: Slope 45 2 x 2 Double Convex / Double Concave

(...) Not really answering your question, but for the longest time I had no idea what this piece looked like. Even the picture on Peeron was a LDRAW picture, and I still couldn't imagine its shape! But now, Peeron has a photograph of the part so I (...) (21 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Lego Trogdor spotted on H*R fanstuff!

Re: !!! Gameboy controller for Lego

(...) The behaviour in the teach video (drive it around by hand and have it play back the motion) looks exactly what set 4095 Record and Play (URL) is supposed to do. Anyone know how it would compare, and whether the 4095 uses back-EMF or internal (...) (21 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(21 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

  Re: Horodris the mech

I really like the leg design and gearing. Gears are like muscles for mecha. The more gears, the more powerful the machine (appears to be). The spindly arms could use a gear infusion to beef them up... But I know you haven't made a lot of armed (...) (21 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: TCLTC's New Home (pics)

SNIP (...) Hi John, I'm not going to comment on that, and you know why. We've got enough about the colors going on. I prefer to just come here to see, read and display MOCs. If it suits you, great, go with it. And I say that without prejudices. I'll (...) (21 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org, FTX)

Re: un sogno per SW + alcune considerazioni (no polemiche!)

(...) Bah, direi che è vero a metà.... Guardate le brickwars...non sempre lo scenario di un diorama o di un "gioco nel gioco" deve essere PER FORZA tutto lego. (...) Beh, qui entriamo in un campo difficile, certo in un contest, tipo Sumo, il fatto (...) (21 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

RE: !!! Gameboy controller for Lego

(...) This has been around for a while, and they are really doing a pretty cool bit of engineering here. It's not for the faint of heart in terms of complexity, but we ARE talking about a really deeply embedded system here. :-) I'm not so much (...)   MOC: Apocryphal Blacktron Freudenshadow Racer

Tony Hafner has presented his very cool (URL) Outcast Racer>, for which much praise is due. Very nice work, Tony! Seeing this fine craft, I was inspired to try something similar, adding my own (I hope) distinctive style. Please let me know what you (...)   Re: !!! Gameboy controller for Lego

(...) That's REALLY slick. The movement of the "Wander" demo is really smooth too. The gameboy's not a bad idea either. It's certainly cheaper than a custom board. Calum (21 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Chessie box cars spotted

Is it unusual to still see Chessie System boxcars? I saw some in Dearborn, MI a few days ago, looking a bit weathered. I didn't have my camera. Amy (21 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.trains)

Re: un sogno per SW + alcune considerazioni (no polemiche!)

(21 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

Re: Color change: Let's go straight to the CEO!
