I tore into one of these a while back. Nice PWM motor control and encoders on
the wheels. The reason they don't work is that whoever coded up the PID loop to
control the motors obviously had no idea what he/she was doing. I have not yet
taken advantage of the nice mechanicals, but I will eventually. I am sure I am
not the only one with too many projects and too little time :)
