Hmmm... The whole system is not terribly cheap. You need the "Xport" which hooks
up to the gameboy, and the "Xport robot controller" which does the nice motor
control and has connections for 16 sensors. These two boards cost $269 US. And a
gameboy will cost around $100 CDN. Final price: approximately $420 CDN. I don't
really care about having the pretty screen and fancy sound of the gameboy, I
just want the motor controller. I would use a PIC for the processor and then the
whole system would cost less than $100 CDN. Maybe even less than $50. But who
can tell me how that back-EMF circuit works????

A PC with machine vision and a pair of HDTV CCD cameras? (...) Well, the CPU/display/memory part of it (...) (20 years ago, 28-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
