  Library Scenes

After seeing the great library-themed creations from (URL) Hietbrink> and (URL) Hoffman>, I was motivated to take pictures of a couple of MOCs based on scenes from the library where I work: (2 URLs) I'd love to know what you think (especially any (...)   Re: All 6 movies on DVD

(...) Let me state for the record..... He can do whatever he wants with the movies. He can edit it so that Princess Leah is really R2-D2's sister... I really don't care. What I am referring to is not what he does with the movies, but rather how he (...) (22 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: All 6 movies on DVD

(...) Good point. To my knowledge, every US release of the original trilogy on home-viewable media has represented a major leap in technology, of some sort or another. The first full-length release was on Betamax (I've heard of an actual (...) (22 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Does Cap'n Ahab have a vertical, orange stripe?

(...) I bought two of these sets and my Capt figs also have the orange stripe. When I first saw it, immediately I thought, hmmmmmm must be a misprint. Even when I use my imagination to the best of its ability, I refuse to considered it a scar. (...) (22 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Kmart Sale

(...) Oh yeah, silly me. (...) Well I just signed a lease for a new place, and bought 2 snowspeeders on the way home to console myself. Does anyone want to partsy any ATATs? I also have a couple of 8436s (sans wheels and a few other bits) to partsy (...) (22 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: All 6 movies on DVD

(...) I'd read what others have posted and thought "Naw, there won't be a six pack." But someone posted a message about the laser disk edition and that got me thinking about technology. I think most of us here know DVD is not high definition but (...) (22 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: All 6 movies on DVD

(...) I'm guessing you refer to Ford, but Warwick Davis is one of the foremost little person actors, and Mark Hamill has made quite a name for himself as a voice talent (very few people even realize that he voices the Joker for Batman: The Animated (...)   Re: All 6 movies on DVD

(...) Hey, to give him credit, that's not entirely true. He did also comment on how if he'd known ahead of time how popular Boba Fett would become, he would have given him a much less loser-y way to die, and it was that very popularity that led to (...)   Re: All 6 movies on DVD

(...) Aside from the phrasing, yes, that's essentially it. Technically, Greedo had plenty of opportunity to shoot Han in the original version, but his greed exceeded his competence, and he forgot to keep his eyes on what Han's hands were doing. In (...)   Re: Looking for ideas on using blank "minifig heads"

(...) Ooh, that brings up an even better idea. The black ones could be used as part of a Star Wars: The Magic of Myth tour, where various notable outfits were placed on near-black manaquins. The trickiest one to reproduce, of course, would be the (...) (22 years ago, 13-Oct-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.starwars, FTX)

Re: Another questionable decision from lego...

(...) The two main justifications that I know of for the LEGO lawyers to get on your case are: 1. Trademark infringement. Sounds simple, but many people mistakenly think they're okay, only to find out later that they're not. Possible infringements (...) (22 years ago, 13-Oct-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: VIKING MUCUS FIST!!

Lenny, you have a great sense of humor, I laughed out loud viewing the adventures of Viking Mucus Fist. It's also a plus that you backed up the laughs with a very nifty little floating Viking sailbot, built using SNOT construction, of course. (...) (22 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: All 6 movies on DVD

(...) Dude, it's a 4-disc set that you can find for just over $40. This is one of those rare cases where extra packaging actually saves you money. If they'd taken them out of the box and sold them individually, you'd probably be looking at $15-20 (...) (22 years ago, 12-Oct-04, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: All 6 movies on DVD

(...) Just remember that any future rerelease is probably going to have different bonus features. The THX VHS 3-pack came with an exclusive interview between George and Leonard Maltin, and that was not included in the SE VHS 3-pack or the recent DVD (...)   Re: So what Train is the Hobby show?

  Re: Lugola call to order

(...) Hey Scott I've been taking a break from crazy LEGO sculptures and've been exploring some of my other, not necessarily less insane, hobbies (photography, music, writing). But I still hang around LUGNET, obviously. Thanks for taking charge and (...) (22 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.org.us.lugola)

Re: not a 20% off sale...

Well, this isn't in reference to the Myer sale, but to K-Mart a while ago. When the Millennium Falcon's first came out at K-Mart, the AT-AT was marked at being $120. when I went to K-Mart to grab the Falcon there were no AT-AT's so I rain checked (...) (22 years ago, 13-Oct-04, to lugnet.loc.au)
