Here's what I do, not as a law, but as a rule of thumb. I decide what it is I really want before hand. I avoid impulsive shopping unless I see a clearance that's really cool. The lower half of the nose piece has two square openings. To my knowledge only the special trans-yellow "Y" will fit into these square openings and allow a single bulb to illuminate the right and left side simultaneously. If you increase the spacing (...) (25 years ago, 23-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)
