New Santa Fe Car Sets #10022 and #10025 —René Hoffmeister
Hello@all, I didn't found something about #10022 and #10025 in the LUGNET, so I think this is interesting for train fans: (URL) will be two new sets for the Santa Fe Train available in September: #10022; 411 pieces; $34.99: For building a Dining (...)          Re: New Santa Fe Car Sets #10022 and #10025 —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Way cool. Of course I'll need more than 5 of these because they need to be "stretched" quite a bit. Something like 50% more should do the trick... that will give room to expand the trucks a bit too. (22 years ago, 2-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New Santa Fe Car Sets #10022 and #10025 —René Hoffmeister
Hello Huw, (...) There's another picture above the scanned part where the cars are in a 3D-view. So, yes, it's right, the roofs are built with 3x2 curved bricks. Also the windows are clear panels 1x2x2. There's the slogan "All New Silver Bricks!" (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New Santa Fe Car Sets #10022 and #10025 —John Neal
(...) Holy Cow!! *That* would be AWESOME!!! Also, it appears to me as if the end car uses *clear* macaronis, as I have done here: (URL) also would be cool:-) -John (22 years ago, 3-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New Santa Fe Car Sets #10022 and #10025 —Eric Brok
(...) Fine set of cars. But as for the 'silver': I fear those bricks are molded in the new swirly plastic that is supposed to look metallic, but actually looks like really cheap plastic. May still be nice for a change as opposed to regular bricks, (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New Santa Fe Car Sets #10022 and #10025 —Jason J. Railton
(...) That's what I assumed. First time I saw it is in the printed curved wings of the Green Goblin's flyer <set:1374>. I got a handful of bricks in it from the RLD backstage visit to LLW, left over from their Virgin Atlantic 747-400 cockpit model. (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New Santa Fe Car Sets #10022 and #10025 —Reinhard "Ben" Beneke
(...) Wow, I love them! And I think it's a good strategy by Lego Direct to create 5 different cars but put the bricks in just 2 different sets. Kind Regards, Ben P.s.: I know Lego Direct cannot do new moulds, but this set would have been even much (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.dear-lego)

It looks as if the bases are 32 studs long - which is a new size, we have had 24 & 28 before. David (22 years ago, 3-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New Santa Fe Car Sets #10022 and #10025 —Kevin Loch
(...) Good. They've almost got them to the correct length of 40 studs. KL (22 years ago, 3-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New Santa Fe Car Sets #10022 and #10025 —Kevin Salm
(...) I like 36 studs long (for 6-wide) coaches but I admit that 40 _looks_ better and appears more real. Functionally, I find 36 works good so I stick with it. __Kevin Salm__ ....A novice with Lego Trains.... (22 years ago, 4-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New Santa Fe Car Sets #10022 and #10025 —Reinhard "Ben" Beneke
(...) The baseplates will definitely be the old 28-studs ones. Lego Direct does not make new moulds as we know.... Take a look at the wheel arrangement and you will notice them to be placed far away from the waggon face sides. That is because the (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)

The scanned catalog said #10022 will be available in September so I didn't ask about that one. Looks like S@H will receive (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New Santa Fe Car Sets #10022 and #10025 —Pedro Silva
(...) Ok, I admit my ignorance on this... What is the *official* name of the macaroni? I ran a search on Lugnet and there was no match... what is it??? Pedro (intrigued... to say the least) (22 years ago, 5-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)

(...) So *that's* what it looks like... Thanks, John! Should I e-mail somebody at partsref to place the keyword macaroni? BTW, why is it called that way? (as a sidenote, I called it a "rounded-corner brick" - go figure) Pedro (22 years ago, 5-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)

He'd actually go change the DAT file, submit it to the parts admin at ldraw.org for posting on the Parts Tracker, and let nature take its course from there.         Re: New Santa Fe Car Sets #10022 and #10025 —Mark Williams

These cars are missing the yellow and red stripes along the sides. Not big issue, mind (...) (22 years ago, 4-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New Santa Fe Car Sets #10022 and #10025 —Larry Pieniazek
