Re: Brickworld 10183 Hobby Train Challenge

(...) LDD 2.0 has a "filter" function that allows you to use only the pieces from the 10183 set, though it does not have the ability to keep track of the number of elements used from that set. The Hobby Train is LEGO© 's attempt to keep 9V trains (...) (18 years ago, 4-Apr-07, to lugnet.events.brickworld, lugnet.events, lugnet.fun.community, lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad.ldd, FTX)

  LEGO train poster (in LDraw)

Hi, I'm in the process of making a poster of all LEGO-trains since the 9V-gray-tracks (so basicly all trains numbered 7xxx and 4xxx). I have some of them in .DAT format (you'll find a list below), but maybe some of you own .DAT-files of trains I (...) (23 years ago, 12-Nov-01, to lugnet.trains)

(...) My solution was to add a resistor over them (picture later). Yes the lowest is 2.9V. By adding a resistor over them all makes i affect the higher settings more than the lower ones. This is right for less that 2.9V is not enough for the motor (...) (23 years ago, 25-Oct-01, to lugnet.trains)

(...) And you also have trains all over the floor, if you happen to have just the one controller. Thank you, but I'll take it under advisement :-) The point is that you take off a steady 9V and feed it into a bank of polarity switches. These then (...) (23 years ago, 26-Oct-01, to lugnet.trains)

One of the positive sides of all the recent talk of 9v trains is that it got me building again. I don't usually post renders, but I liked the way this one turned out, and I don't (yet) have the pieces to build it. Here is my version of Rutland (...)
