I really like the 4565 for the spare parts, a lot of different types of black slopes, perfect for making old steam locomotives. The alternate model, (instructions can be found on Matt Bates Train Depot) has some pretty neat details to the wheels (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

It seems to me that there are two fundamental differences between the PNLTC and the GMLTC. Even though I live within I hour of the GMLTC, it would be almost impossible for me to build my own module and just show up at some of the GMLTC train shows (...) Mike, My system is different than all the other. For my main tables I use 36 in deep x 48 in long. I use 36 in deep table because it allows for 3 base plates and track plus a extra 1 in of slack. Also it make for easy cuts and it just makes the math (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

The only thing I can think of is so that you can drop down 20 layers to make a subway, but it seems cheaper to just build a platform (...) Mike- At the GMLTC, we use about a 30 x45" table (= to exactly 6 large gray baseplates) with metal folding legs. Yep, that's my design. At a minimum, I suggest 30.25" x 60.5" for long linear runs. When I need extra depth, I stack them two deep. We (PNLTC) also have a few tables that are ~40" x ~80. The larger size gives you a pretty good amount of space for a (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

I think this is a great idea! Formatting would be of the upmost importance for the 'book' to come together as a whole. I would suggest the criteria be at the very least photographs in three resolutions, followed by ldraw instructions, then POV (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

We (PNLTC) have discussed this also. A printed version of such a book would be great but costly. An electronic version sounds very do-able. How would the submissions be accepted? On what criteria? Would they all be accepted? Are there any ldraw (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

The logo is almost refixed, John and I have been working on it. He read his docs and knows how to produce standard gif files now. Everyone else, thanks for your help! The page looks great! I like the Milwaukee RR "like" LOGO. We (PNLTC) have been looking for help in the logo department forever. None of us are graphic artists. Unless PageMill has dramatically improved (I last used it about two years ago), it is a pretty weak product in my opinion. It was okay for building a page but lousy when it came to site management.
