Re: New MOC - The Paramount Theatre

(...) It definitely works from what I can seen in the photo. Use of only black, white and neon trim seems to dull down the blue quite nicely. A dash of yellow or even red would probably ruin the effect. (20 years ago, 27-Jul-04, to lugnet.town, lugnet.color, FTX)

Re: New MOC - The Paramount Theatre

(...) Thanks Jan, You review is very kind. To be honest, I'm not sure about the original, because unfortunately it was torn down 15 or so years ago. I made it from memory, and it probably could use a bit more detail. I am thinking about bringing it (...) (20 years ago, 26-Jul-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: New MOC - The Paramount Theatre

(...) Thanks Jonathan, The interior is a bit cramped but it was fun building those details. Yeah, I know.... the blue .... well a bit questionable at best, but no red?? OUCH! Janey "RED Brick" (20 years ago, 26-Jul-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: New MOC - The Paramount Theatre

(...) (URL) (...) Thanks Rosco, Thankfully, I can not be held responsible for anything that the figs do in the balcony, those smiling faces have strange powers of mind control over me. Janey "Red Brick" (20 years ago, 26-Jul-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: New MOC - The Paramount Theatre

(...) (URL) (...) Incredible! I love the entrance, with the rotating doors and the curved signs. But best of all is the name sign, great work! Ofcourse I don't know the original, but I'd put a bit more detail to the roofline, it looks a bit "flat" (...) (20 years ago, 26-Jul-04, to lugnet.town)

Re: New MOC - The Paramount Theatre

(...) Hi Janey, Very nice. I really like the marquee. The neon touch adds a lot to it. Interiors get overlooked in my buildings (ie: I don't make them), your's looks great. The curtains are thoughful too. Excellent. Great, all around. The blue, (...) (20 years ago, 26-Jul-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Beechcraft Starship

(...) You're quite welcome. I hope you choose to post some post modification pics too... it will be interesting to see if all the changes actually helped or if some detracted... :-) (...) Raytheon seems to be actively trying to get the aircraft out (...) (20 years ago, 26-Jul-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: New MOC - The Paramount Theatre

(...) Very nice, Janey. I hope you don't let the figs make out in the balcony too much. (...) LOL with friends like that who needs enemies? ROSCO (20 years ago, 26-Jul-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

New MOC - The Paramount Theatre

Good day all, (URL) Just a quick post to share some pictures of my latest MOC, (URL) Bricton's Paramount Theatre.> This theatre is based on the one I frequented as a child and teen. It is also an attempt to prove to an AFOL friend of mine that town (...) (20 years ago, 26-Jul-04, to lugnet.town, FTX) !!

  Re: Beechcraft Starship

(...) I agree. Although I do like the overall delta-like shape that you see from underneath, something very distinctive about the Starship. I have now "installed" seats, and just like the SYSTEM planes, there ain't a lot of room in there! (...) I (...) (20 years ago, 25-Jul-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Plymouth Prowler & me

(...) It's great by itself, but it'll probably need to be a bit isolated in a MichLUG show, since most of the cars are 4-wide. (...) What now? Road...way? I think the closest thing I've ever owned is the grey space landing pad, and I'm not sure (...) (20 years ago, 25-Jul-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Beechcraft Starship

(...) I liked the look of this ship. My few (minor nits really) comments are: 1. I think the wings may be too large for a "minifig compressed scale" ship that's in scale with airport set ships. Those all are 4 wide fuselages but have pretty small (...) (20 years ago, 25-Jul-04, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Plymouth Prowler & me

(...) Dave, This is a sweet interpretation of a Prowler. I think the overall form is right on and the size is fine. As to the "x-wide" question, that's a tough one. One way of determining the issue is to look at the roadway for which this vehicle (...) (20 years ago, 24-Jul-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Beechcraft Starship

Hi everyone I have just finished a MOC of the Beechcraft Starship, recently seen escorting Spaceship One on the scaled composites website ((URL)). I have tried to build it so that it fits with the SYSTEM Airport sets, with a little success I think. (...) (20 years ago, 24-Jul-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Three old MOCs

(...) Hi Chris, Thanks you for your comments on my MOCs. I’m glad that you were inspired by my library. Your private library is a great creation and I like all the details. The knickknacks scattered around really make it look like an Adventurers (...) (20 years ago, 24-Jul-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Three old MOCs

(...) Leah, Very nice work, I especially enjoyed touring the Public Gardens. The pool with the statue and the greenhouse building are well done. What a beautiful place for the minifigs to visit. While browsing your folder I came across the (...) (20 years ago, 23-Jul-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Three old MOCs

(...) Hi Leah I think the town house is "cute" for want of a better word. I like the colour scheme and how narrow the building is. The interior is very "tidy" too. However, I recently came across your library. (URL) I wanted to build my own and a (...) (20 years ago, 23-Jul-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Plymouth Prowler & me

(...) Certainly worth a try. It always surprises me how memory-frugle povray is, considering what it has to do. ROSCO (20 years ago, 23-Jul-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Plymouth Prowler & me

(...) Whoops, looks like that part has already been added. Still not sure about my computer's ability to do the job, but maybe I'll download a copy to play around with. (20 years ago, 23-Jul-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Plymouth Prowler & me

(...) I care to the extent that I'd like to be able to say, "Hey, I made an X-wide Prowler," and expect that the other person could glean enough from that to infer relative size before actually seeing what it looks like. (...) Why, thank you. I (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jul-04, to lugnet.town, FTX)
