I just saw this incredible Lego car model posted by El Caracho. (URL) read any more of this note, just click on the link (run, don't walk)!!! I thought it was the real thing before I opened the main thumbnail. Then I thought it was one of those (...) (24 years ago, 20-Feb-01, to lugnet.town) !!

Re: Town Building Contest: Voting now open - Shades of Florida?

(...) That's true. We don't want you to get permanently cross-eyed like that county official in the infamous Florida chad counting picture :-) (...) This also has the added benefit of exposing more "outsiders" to the Lego community (always a good (...) (24 years ago, 20-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

  Re: new monorail train

(...) Same here, I like the turning points at each station...forward stop or reverse. I think that in itself is noteworthy. I also like the fact that it is a super tie-in with the airport and town - you can seperate your airport from the rest of (...) (24 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

  Re: contest voting mechanism

(...) I could also use cookies to make sure that each computer was used for voting just once. There are ways to cheat this, too, and it may prevent a couple legitimate votes (e.g. family votes), but no system is perfect. This would prevent an AOL (...) (24 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.town)

  Town Building Contest - voting

Well, we had a "blip" in the voting process but I'm satisfied that it was caused by a misunderstanding rather than an intent to cheat.
