I may sound silly.

not at all !!!
sometimes i'm going the way which leads to nowhere
sometimes even more than once since the working model appears

Since you ask...  I am trying to build a helicopter that
will be powered by a pneumatic engine.

new pistons (with silver metal pipe) are IMO too heavy
and for me they work slowly

That is way it needs to be large.  I
was stumped at how to make the rotor wings untill I saw your hovercraft.

you know
in hovercraft the air has to be put under the body
and the propeller has to supply just as much air
as excapes here and there
but in helicopter all air escapes so the efficiency has to be much higher

I made a couple test runs but nothing yet.  Maybe someone will get it, one way or
another, by the centenial of flight (Dec. 17, 2003).  I have tried with 9v
motors too.  I have heard of a Mindstormer who goes by the name "Serious
Damage" who claims to have done it.  I can't confirm it, though.  The photos
were very unclear.  It appeared as though he had it take off in a make shift
vertical tunnel made from boxes.  My guess is that this helped to increase its
lift by acting as the tunnel on your hovercraft during take off.  Who knows
maybe someone unknown has already done it!

maybe

i did the 6 fixed blades propeller
it gives so much air flow
but still nothing like helicopter isn't done

i bought some new bricks so the new hovercraft will probably appear
but now my pipeline is:
access boom ver03
helicopter ver 01 :)))
hovercraft ver03

of course my pipeline is not too stiff
so if i'll find some new ideas the pipeline will change
