I hate the Junkyard Wars show becasue the junkyard is so obviously seeded with the parts required to execute one of the three designs for the project. Does anyone know where I can get the story of the Toa's as presented at the Legoland Bionicle Jam sessions? There should be two different ones, one from Bionicle Jam last year, and one from Bionicle Jam 2K2 this year. My boy's really love the story (...) For clarification: "beam" = studless beam (e.g. (...) I think each has its own place, which is governed by necessity. We cannot compare equivalent constructions to judge the better piece. For example, if you think of replacing a brick with a beam in (...) (23 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

If you're going to use it, why bother with MISB? You'd only pay collector's value.... I do own the Space shuttle. It's one of the first I got after the Dark Ages and it's one of the best Technic sets ever. It comes with two motors, fiber-optics, all (...) (23 years ago, 4-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

I can agree with your feelings of the Technic theme being slowly diluted with Bionicle, Throwbots and the like and the theme 'Technic' itself may indeed be dead but I am in a huge disagreement with idea that the newer Technic parts are in some way (...) I'm not speaking from any real authority here but I seem to remember reading in a F1/Indy car racing mag that Williams had paired up with Lego to produce a more "real" F1 technic car. Meaning, more accurate and thus more complicated technic car. (...) (23 years ago, 4-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)

In my mind it is easy to see where lego went wrong on terms of technic. A change in the technic line may have been needed to evolve a little after 1997 but they went the wrong direction. Instead of modles becoming more complex, larger, better (...) (23 years ago, 4-Aug-02, to lugnet.technic)
