Re: KMart sale on storage (Akro-Mills?)

(...) The link below is to a flyer for their in-store specials, good at all kinds of K-Marts I believe. I didn't even look for these on the web site on sale. I don't think you'll find them however. BEN (...) (24 years ago, 28-Feb-01, to lugnet.storage)

RE: KMart sale on storage (Akro-Mills?)

IMO, the Akro-Mils cabinets are much better if you can find them in your area. For one thing they stack nicely, and securely. While KMart is selling the "Stack"-on brand, they do not stack at all. They slide right off of each other. A slight bump (...) (24 years ago, 28-Feb-01, to lugnet.storage, lugnet.market.shopping)

  KMart sale on storage (Akro-Mills?)

I think these are by Akro-Mills, the company that everyone raves over. This seems to be a really good deal. I'm going by my SuperK today to try to get some. Here is a pic of the ad. Buy one get one free. (URL) BEN GATRELLE (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.storage, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: My Storage, Labelling and CAD Dimension system

(...) Thank you very much! (...) Well, I wouldn't even *think* of selling anything... that's just not the way we work in the LCad community (like you didn't know that already.. hehe) But I have thought about how to get the actual files to people. If (...) (24 years ago, 25-Feb-01, to lugnet.storage)

Re: My Storage, Labelling and CAD Dimension system

(...) WOW!! COOL! It'd be great if you can publish the files that you make this with, or perhaps even sell it because you put in so much work. That's really cool lookin! I wish I had a sorting system like that. I'm still pretty early on in my (...) (24 years ago, 25-Feb-01, to lugnet.storage)

My Storage, Labelling and CAD Dimension system

I threw up a page with some quick pics of my building/storage area. ore importantly are the details of my customized labelling system and the tools I have laid out on paper for the desktop.   Re: Storage and sorting (Theme oriented)

(...) Heehee, doesn't sound very encouraging, Ralph! (...) The mess on the floor sounds familiar! My kids have only recently begun collecting Lego and so they haven't created many models other than the main model which comes with the instruction (...) (24 years ago, 20-Feb-01, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Lego bags

(...) I prefer the Hefty One-Zip freezer strength bags. The Ziploc Slide-Loc bags are not as good in my book as the slider slides off the end of the track much too easily. I prefer freezer weight because it is much more resistant to tears. I do wish (...) (24 years ago, 19-Feb-01, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Sorting classification

(...) I found that more smaller drawers actually work better than fewer large drawers of the same volume, for what it's worth. It's quicker to pull open the drawer of, say, 1x2 tiles and grab one of the right color than it is to, say, pull open a (...) (24 years ago, 16-Feb-01, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Sorting classification

Frank, (...) [snip] Thanks first for the quick answer and then for the clarification. I was looking at Jeff Stembel's post and that style of classification seems very reasonable. I'll try to use it with my collection. Best regards for you! -- Felipe (24 years ago, 16-Feb-01, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Sorting classification

(...) The categories really depend on size of collection. What you want to build and how you build should also factor in. There are two somewhat conflicting goals in my mind (well several actually). - You want stuff you use together to be stored in (...) (24 years ago, 16-Feb-01, to lugnet.storage)

  Sorting classification

Hi, I am quite new to LEGO collection (~5 to 6,000pcs) but something started to bother me. I passed through the sort by color phase.
