Hi all,
Short, but hopefully sweet, request for someone out there
(who may already have done this!), from a 'Murican drooling
from Europe:
Could someone who has the new sets, and would be willing to
compile a representative sample of new System elements--Life
on Mars and Star Wars in particular--and scan or photograph
them so we have an idea of what's coming? For those in Europe
considering getting the sets shipped to them before release--
the UK Lego store people said June 2001 for Life on Mars in
stores (ack! This can't be true, can it?)--it might be helpful
to see images of the new elements to plan purchases. I have
three reasons for wanting this:
1) People in Europe would want to see them. (altruism)
2) I'm willing to bring some back to .nl and .uk at the end of
Jan/Feb. (semi-pecuniary altruism)
3) I'm impatient and really want to get a look at those 8-wide
quarter-cylinder walls. (loutish selfishness)
Anyways, anyone who would oblige would earn my undying thanks.
Unfortunately I can't post mailed images (or even receive them,
what with a 1MB mail limit)--it would have to be on someone
else's site.

| Perhaps I can manage this tonight for most of the Mars and movie sets. I see a bunch of possibly new colors, and some previously Scala or Belville only colors. There's a ton of new parts, including a new flex hose which I think will prove more (...) (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.year.2001)

| (...) I'll endeavor to post pics tonight to brickshelf with the new parts I've noticed from the sets I have. (TIE, Droid Escape, & Exploion Studio) Mostly that will be the 1/4 round wall, the 1/4 round plate & the TIE stand. Oh yeah, I think the TIE (...) (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.year.2001)

| (...) helmets: (...) in (...) Imperial Commandos wore very dark grey (almost black) jumpsuits (similar to officers) with black "samurai" helmets. You could however make the black stormtroopers from the comic "Crimson Empire" -Lord Insanity (24 years ago, 29-Nov-00, to lugnet.starwars)

| (...) probobly the closest helment that lego has made is that exploriens one thats a normal helmet but with hoses. Then again, I have never seen a tie pilots helmet up close. (24 years ago, 30-Nov-00, to lugnet.starwars)
