Skip, I've lost faith in TRU with the 2001 line. I'm on the road a lot, and
I make a point to visit every WalMart and TRU on my route. Although
WalMart's shelves were bare for a couple weeks after Christmas, they wasted
no time replenishing every set. TRU, on the other hand, has only produced
small handfuls of the smaller 2001 sets at even the largest stores. For
example, I have yet to see an Imperial Shuttle or TIE in the Portland TRU,
yet WalMart is right down the road with every 2001 SW set. I'm very
impressed with WalMart's resilience, even after being sacked from X-mas.
Here's an interesting tidbit for LOM fans: I found my way into a brand
new WalMart in Portsmouth, NH. The store wasn't even open for business yet,
but they asked no questions as I showed myself in...I was supposed to sign
in but I didn't (what a rebel I am). The aisles were only half-lit, but
FULL of LEGO, including a LOM set I haven't seen before. It's a three pack
value set called the Alien Discovery Pack, or something to that effect.

| I keep browsing my local TRU but they are not on the shelves, where are you guys finding them? I am waiting with baited breath for the Imperial shuttle and the escape pod. Thanks! (24 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.starwars)
