More previews from BCS —Joel Kuester
Hi all! I have put up a few pictures that I thought you guys might enjoy seeing. The capital ship I have been working on isn't quite done, as the rear engines are still not attached yet, but I'd love to hear some feedback anyways. I am still (...) (24 years ago, 18-Apr-00, to lugnet.space)

(...) YES! The Elegance looks awesome. It has a nice clean look to it IMO. How long have you been building it? How big is it? Is it Mini or Micro fig scale? I know that might be a stupid question because you mentioned an interior but I can't tell. (...) (24 years ago, 18-Apr-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: More previews from BCS —Joel Kuester
(...) thanks :) (...) well, the actual construction of the hull was done modular style so it is still portable (If I kept it in the living room all the time my roommate would probably start to dislike me) Before I started building, I did sketches (...)          Re: More previews from BCS —Joel Kuester
(...) duh! Nevermind my bad... I HAVE seen your ship... it looks awesome BTW! I am looking forward to seeing it finished. It was sort of hard to tell the exact size, in the pictures... I am curious to know how long is it? I saw it when you posted (...) (24 years ago, 18-Apr-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: More previews from BCS —Jon Palmer
(...) Yeah I can't wait till its finished too. : ) It sucks because the only 2 full length pictures I have of it are bad quality. The ship has also changed a lot since then too. As soon as I can I'll get some more full length shots up. Have you (...) (24 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: More previews from BCS —Joel Kuester
(...) Thanks! I am really glad to hear that... after seeing Ken-tucky works I thought my stuff looked too simple. :) But then again he does very anime styled vehicles, and I am inspired more by american sci-fi... so its a little different set of (...)      Holy S#$@! That mech is awesome. I'm still trying to digest all of the facets to this incredibly cool looking mech. You have inspired me to build my first mech and to buy more yellow parts! As for the space ship, well you are out of my league. That (...) (24 years ago, 18-Apr-00, to lugnet.space)

Wow, amazing! I especially love the Elegance -- great design and great detailing. The scale is amazing. How strong structurally is it? Can you pick it up easily enough? -- Paul Davidson www.theforce.net | Your Daily Dose of Star Wars (...) (24 years ago, 18-Apr-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: More previews from BCS —Paul Davidson
Argh, I spoke too soon! I hadn't seen the Sentryhawk yet. WOW! Amazing engines and machinery design, amazing overall design...fantastic functionality (love the modularity and the wing design!). This is the single-nicest Lego spaceship I've seen yet. (...) (24 years ago, 18-Apr-00, to lugnet.space)

(...) Thanks a lot! I am proud if people like my ships, but I am going to get an inflated ego if you keep giving me compliments like this :) cheers! Joel K (24 years ago, 18-Apr-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: More previews from BCS —Joel Kuester
(...) Thanks! The different sections of the ship are very sturdy. I have had no problems with cave-ins or anything (without the removable floors insalled, the ship is essentially hollow) but there is no way I could lift it all as one peice. I have (...)          Re: More previews from BCS —Joel Kuester
(...) actually, the main reason I had to make it modular is because of the center "neck" section. With two huge bulky ends attached to it, I'm sure it would break if I tried to lift it. This is the reason my next ship will be more solid. The (...) (24 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.space)

(...) The capital ship has a nice "aircraft carrier" appeal to it. Can't wait for inside pix *drool* Maybe you could light up the back engines and have some transparent pieces give a good color to the emitted light. And, you haven't underestimated (...)          Re: More previews from BCS —Joel Kuester
(...) I have been thinking of ways to use motors and lights in it, since it certainly has enough room to fit that sort of thing, and even perhaps intalling my explorer scout brick in it, but unfortunately I haven't thought of a proper use yet.         Re: More previews from BCS —Jason Ellis
Great stuff. You've said that there is no such thing as too many bricks. How true this is. And I now that I don't have nearly enough bricks because there is no way I could build a capital ship. I am extremely jealous. Right now I'm in to building (...) (24 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.space)
