I'm working a project to communicate from a PC to an RCX running the current version of BrickOS-0.2.6.10. I'm running windows 2000 professional and I use the current version of Cygwin. One thing I can tell you is that you need to add c:\cygwin\bin to your path (autoexec.bat) Also, when you try to download a program, instead of just using util/dll try ./util/dll I'm sure John will have other suggestions. (...) AFAIK there is no way to receive Lego-Messages, except by editing lnp.c and adding that by hand. The only Lego-Messages that brickos knows of, are those from the remote control and the "send message" opcode (0xf7). It may be worthwhile to add (...) I have a vaguely important post which is: the new version of Cygwin is a bugger to get working with Brickos 0.2.6, but the old version, Cygwin B-20 works fine so nobody waste your time on the new version of Cyggy and download it from (URL) for (...) (...) Rich, Those patches were created for optimizing some legOS code. I believe it was some interupt code. The legOS code and brickOS code have internal work arounds. hi there we seem to have a not so tiny problem with lnp, we can send messages from the tower to the rcx, but until now we have failed to get the rcx to send a message tot the computer, we have tried various versions of the legos kernel, none of them (...)
