  Re: GA in RCX

(...) I like the multiple robot idea. If each robot used a simulated annealing algorithm instead of a GA this would require less computation since it would be working on one chromosome instead of a population. Each robot could advertise its fitness (...) (24 years ago, 25-May-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Re: Decoding the LEGO IR remote control

(...) Ah, so the infamous d2 opcode is finally fully explained. What the d2 opcode did was discovered a while back when the firmware was disassembled, but people could only guess as to why Lego put such an opcode into the RCX. It was never connected (...)   Re: Tasks vs. program slots

Hello Dave, First, let me thank you for NQC ... you've made my RCX playing tremendously more rewarding. I've been wanting to use a Sharp IR receiver to demodulate the signal from a LEGO remote control, and then a PIC to decode the rx output for use (...)   Re: What about this for a new RCX 2.5 setup?

Oh, and I forgot one of the "BIGGEST" wishes on the list: 5) Linksys wireless access port response rather than the directional IR port. Or at least SOME form of 900MHz+ communication that is non-directional, with higher bandwidth (who knows...maybe (...) (22 years ago, 10-May-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  rcxhttpd?

(OK, I know this sounds perverse, but heck, some high-end printers these days are coming with built-in webservers for configuration, so it's not that perverse.)   Re: COLOR light sensor

I toyed some time ago with the idea of colored leds to provide color information to RCX - I didn't construct anything yet. I intended to use R/V/B leds (the addition of an IR one is a good idea) with an RCX controlled cycling mechanism to light the (...) (23 years ago, 29-Nov-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  emulegOS: a new release

This version is now considered the "official" version of emulegOS, and we hope to release a Tcl based Windows version soon. The new features include: - IR support: (...)
