  RE: Apparent 'time-out'

(...) Thanks... (...) When the RCX is sitting idle, the pbForth interpreter is spinning and looking for characters from the IR. I doubt that sunlight (or flashlight) would be interpreted as valid chars, and the error handling should just discard the (...) (22 years ago, 9-May-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

  Setting LNP host address

I've experimented with a couple of choices which were relatively easy to implement. Let me know if we should keep any these: 1. You can choose to set the host address at build time with a command-line option to make. Example: make LNP_HOSTADDR=2 (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  help building gcc cross-compiler (long)

I'm following Matthias Erhmann's excellent BrickOS Linux Installation HOWTO, and I've hit a snag. When executing the "make" command in step 2.2 to make the gcc cross-compiler, I got the error below. I commented out the first three lines of the (...) (20 years ago, 11-Oct-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: Apparent 'time-out'

Shutting down the GUI and starting it back up has no effect, pbForth continues to respond correctly. Adding words to the dictionary doesn't seem to make any difference either. Whether having just uploaded the firmware or having the RCX active for (...) (22 years ago, 9-May-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

Next test version avail. 0.2.6.05 - have time?

We are looking for help testing our next very-early integration. We have revised the LNP support and have reworked the support for the LEGO Infrared Remote Control to create this 2nd test version. This version mimicks the stock firmware behavior. (...) (22 years ago, 6-May-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Re: Lego IR Remote - What is max send rate?

Stephen - I've recently taken a couple of patch postings to legos.sourceforge.net by Ross Crawford and Zhengrong Zang and have come up with a hybrd solution (on 0.2.6) to implement the remote control. I am quite happy with the results. The original (...) (22 years ago, 29-Apr-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Ok, I have gotten myself confused again. 0-0.32mA represents a voltage dropbetween 0 - 3.2 volts. Therefore the voltage that the RCX "reads" on theA2D is between 5 - 1.8 volts (1023 - 368 RAW)?
