I know that if we miss key presses due to our service rates
our movement will not be smooth.
I am not exactly sure, but you might consider using a vector
in the robot so if a key is missed it continue on the same
vector.  In order to accomplish this you would need to have
messages for keypresses and keyreleases.  So if the robot does
not get a key release it keeps going.  Now, if you do this it]
would be smart to provide a timeout where the robot stops if
it stops recieving messages completely.  This would take care
of loss of communication issues.
