  gdb & legOS

Hi All. I've been thinking about how gdb can be used to debug legOS programs. I've hashed most of it out, but one thing has me stumped -- how can I do a software trap on a H8300? I'd like to hear any suggestions as to how I can get round this. The (...) (25 years ago, 17-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Running IR in the background

Hi all Is there any way to switch the IR LED on and leave it on. (as a kind of a headlight for the light sensor.) Alternatively, what is the easiest way to just send a comtinuous string of 0's so it's on at least a lot of the time, without taking (...) (25 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Hi Luis, thanks for your help. I tried both versions, the one using aioread and the one using the ioctl. Both run better than before, but still don't work (both give similar results). I now get signaled when I can read from the serial port, but what (...) (25 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

I had a similar problem and it was caused by the 9 Volt battery in the tower. You don't mention the green light in the tower. Is it changing brightness while you are downloading? It should be a steady light. I cannot find the name of the firmware (...) (25 years ago, 9-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

I did some more experiments last night. My conclusion is that the majority of apparent 2-state transitions never actually occur (that is: the sensor does not actually travel through 2 states between two consecutive sensor readings).
