Hi Luis,
thanks for your help. I tried both versions, the one using aioread and
the one using the ioctl. Both run better than before, but still don't
work (both give similar results). I now get signaled when I can read
from the serial port, but what I read seems to be only the echo of
what I write:
299> util/dll -v demo/helloworld.lx
loader hostaddr=80 hostmask=f0 portmask=0f

error deleting program
I even get this result no matter if there is a rcx in front of the
tower or not. If the tower is not connected, I get:

Any further ideas?

| (...) You're right, that's the echo of what you're sending. This looks suspiciously like the problems many people had with gcc-2.9.5 compiled legOS on regular Linux boxes, you know. | Carsten- I asked a local solaris guru, and he wrote me what could be a helpful note on solaris aio. I've filed it (apparently) in the wrong folder, but I'll try to post it tomorrow. He seems to believe that it wouldn't be all that hard to make the (...) (25 years ago, 29-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)
