Because dsound_play currently doesn't work for me, and because i wanted to make some noise under legOS with little memory and CPU footprint, i wrote a little function that plays arbitrary tones without using interrupts. I haven't used CyberMaster myself, but I know someone was able to get it working with a Mac. CyberMaster expects DTR to be asserted and RTS to be cleared. I'm not sure if "asserted" means +9 or -9. Hi all, I am having problems talking to my cybermaster from MPW on the mac. Heres my set up Mac B&W g3 with gport card providing the serial port. mac modem cable (mini 8 pin to DB-25) connected to serial port DB-25 from modem cable connected to (...) OK, So I finally got LNP to do something :) I have a very simple program on one rcx which sends out something to another rcx which the second rcx gets in. Does any one know a URL/ptr to a wiring diagrom to connect a normal digital servo ? I found several picture's on the web of the mechanical assmebly, but no wiring details ? (...) If you just listen to the 'message'es you send out from the RCX, you see them coming in. On unix just do something like cat /dev/cuaa0 It also works with most IRda ports, such as thouse found on the iMac and most laptops. Though I found the (...) Have a look at my page : (URL) buit a scanner with bidirectionnal control. Client (RCX) software written with NQC, 'server' (master=pc) soft written in borland delphi 3.0. Quick question: is there a way for the rcx to send data to the PC (and possibly vice versa)? I have a scanner base built, and ideally I would like a way to communicate with the RCX, with the PC controlling the movement of the scanner. I could (...) (...) Just because it compiled, and is from a book, does not mean it is compiled correctly. Once again, please try and load the LEGO firmware using all of the tools. (...) Your msg is propably not well formed enough. Just fetch a copy of nqc_src_1.2 or higher (unix, mac and lesser OS-es available) and you end up with a command ./nqc -msg XXX where XXX is a magic number :-) Which translates to a valid msg. (...) Ok, the first thing I would do is that the known good firmware (firm0309.lgo) loads with all of the tools that you are interested in. Bad things happen when I try to use the firmware download tool from the NQC environment to download an SREC file produced by either Web cross compilor. OK after many hardware problems (who says redhat is as easy to install as windows) I have finally gotten a nice copy of legOS 0.2.2 compiled.
