Has anyone used an comercial optical encoder to monitor wheel velocity on their robot? Most of the ones i have seen use between 100 and 500 pulses/rev.   setting config reg with Win95
 
We are currently building a dozen Handy Boards here at the Missouri Area Robotics Society (MARS). Everything is going very well for us, except for the members who are using Win95. Hi, Consider a part of a program: var1 FCB 1 var2 FCB 7 var3 FCB 4 . . . varN FCB ? If I want to use a variable (say X) to determine when to use "var1" to "varN", how can I do this (other than a whole bunch of CMP's). (i.e. when X = 3, I want to (...) Fred and others, I wrote before saying that my HB is not able to execute IC. Fred wrote back with the idea of it being related to the 68HC11, the memory or the 74HCs. I have replied to Colin personally on this, apoligising for flaming him on the board prices. Since no one seems to do the kits in the uk (yet), I was looking to pick one up there.   Expanding HandyBoard
 
Can I use more 74hc374s in conjunction with the Y0 to Y5 lines on the Expansion bus to give me more digital outputs. Could I then just "poke" to change values. Hi Tery, The average_sensor() procedure prodive average reading of a given analog port (the first parameter of the function).
