I guess TLG still tries to aim their product at children => Childres
build cars => Cars cannot be plugged in and drive at the same time =>
Remove connector because it is not needed => lower production cost.
Or maybe the arrows should be turned the other way round....

| (...) Besides the RCX, I've two other sets that can be run off an external ac adapter - #8485 Technic Control Center and DACTA #9751 Control Lab Interface. Both of them come with an external adapter. The Technic Control Center can also be run off (...) (25 years ago, 20-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)
