Remove connector because it is not needed => lower production cost.
Or maybe the arrows should be turned the other way round....

(...) Besides the RCX, I've two other sets that can be run off an external ac adapter - #8485 Technic Control Center and DACTA #9751 Control Lab Interface. Both of them come with an external adapter. The Technic Control Center can also be run off (...) (25 years ago, 20-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)
