My firmware will not download to the brick under any windows program I have including The origonal lego one. Hi, on my machine, original firmdl3 took 45.2s to download firm0309.lgo. - I increased packet size to 240 bytes, gaining roughly 2 seconds. - Added packet size prediction and bytewise decoding with a state machine (The decoder spent 50 ms per packet (...) Check the 9V battery in the tower, and check the position of the RCX in relation to the tower--for the firmware download only, it seems to need to be at about the same level and pretty close together. In one of my projects, a "trambot," the (...) (26 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Bug, what bug? Have I missed something? My Tcl based uploader broke when Scriptics released 8.2, and now it works again. I forget the web page, but I did find a JAVA compiler for the HB online! It looks great! I havent had a chance to experiment with it yet, but it uses much less memory then IC and appears to be very powerful, might want to look for that. (...) Maybe it sounds strange, but you could use the lubricant people use for their YoYos. As Yoyos are made of different kind of plastics (ok - there are also wooden and metal ones) , there should be no problems i.e.: Your cylinders will survive the (...) (26 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Before I'd ever seen a blue air tank, I had fair success in 1994 with CO2 cartridges, epoxy, and the rigid pneumatic tubing. Just another way of doing things if you don't mind your work having some non-LEGO bits in them; easily paralleled, would (...) (26 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)
