My firmware will not download to the brick under any windows program I have including The origonal lego one. Hi, on my machine, original firmdl3 took 45.2s to download firm0309.lgo. - I increased packet size to 240 bytes, gaining roughly 2 seconds. - Added packet size prediction and bytewise decoding with a state machine (The decoder spent 50 ms per packet (...) Check the 9V battery in the tower, and check the position of the RCX in relation to the tower--for the firmware download only, it seems to need to be at about the same level and pretty close together. In one of my projects, a "trambot," the (...) (26 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Maybe it sounds strange, but you could use the lubricant people use for their YoYos. As Yoyos are made of different kind of plastics (ok - there are also wooden and metal ones) , there should be no problems i.e.: Your cylinders will survive the (...) (26 years ago, 4-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Before I'd ever seen a blue air tank, I had fair success in 1994 with CO2 cartridges, epoxy, and the rigid pneumatic tubing. Just another way of doing things if you don't mind your work having some non-LEGO bits in them; easily paralleled, would (...) (26 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)
