Since a few people are cheating on Shiri Dori's Castle survey and putting
pirates answers there, this must be nipped in the bud.  So......

1.  When did you get into Lego Pirates?

1999, my first sets were 6280, 6281, and 6263 I think.

2.  Do you own any of the big four: 6285 (Barracuda, BSB), 6286 (Schooner,
SES), 6276 (El Dorado Fortress), 6277 (Imperial Trading Post)?

Soon 6276 will be the only one of the big four I don't have two copies
of (though currently 6286 is the only one of the big four I currently
don't have more than one of (1))

3.  What's the most you paid for a ship?

Without shipping, $170 (for the 6286 from the AucZilla 500 sets
auction).

4.  What's the most you paid for a non-ship set?

$121.87 for one of my 3 copies of 6277.

5.  What's your favorite non-ship pirate set other than the two big Imperial
sets noted above?

Hmm, probably 6278, but 6267 would be close. 6285 and 6277 would be my
overall favorite sets.

6.  What's the one set you don't have that you really, really want?

None? I think all I'm missing are some of the smallest sets and promo
sets.

7.  How many blue-coated Imperial soldiers do you have?

Well over 50, need to count tonight.

8.  Red coats?

Over 20, need to count tonight.

9.  Armada guys?

Need to count tonight.

10. Pirate wenches?

Need to count tonight.

11. General pirate figures other than the above?

Again, I'll have to count tonight... Probably 200-300.

12. Number of Islanders

Well, I've got 40 coming from Scott Arthur, probably close to 100.

(1) I have a partial copy of 6276 thus I have more than one copy. I just
won my 2nd copy of 6286 in Tom Schlosser's auction, but have not yet
received it (though I'd also have to scramble a bit to claim I even have
a complete copy of 6286 right now since the one I have was the one from
the AucZilla 500 sets auction which came without minifigs, but I have
all the minifigs amongst my extras).

(...) You realize that I almost typed, "This question does not apply to Frank Filz." :-) (...) I forgot to ask about Islander figs. Oops. I think I have about 12-15. Bruce (25 years ago, 14-Feb-00, to lugnet.pirates)
