Small cutter bows (6x7 bow pieces)

Hello pirate ship builders ! I just bought the adventurer's aquaplane(set # 5935)on sale here in Denmark. The set includes two white 6x7 cutter bows and four black bow plates. There is also quite a lot of other useful pieces. It looks like the (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Small cutter bows (6x7 bow pieces)

(...) Oh my yes. It's a rather nifty set all-around! The only downside is that it includes Gail Storm and not the lovely Femme Fatale. (...) This is true too! Don't forget, though, that the T-Rex Transport (5975) has the lovely and useful 10-wide (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Small cutter bows (6x7 bow pieces)

(...) Freighters are very .pirate. Without freighters, what is there to plunder besides Imperial and Armada warships and Islander canoes? Give me a fat defenseless freighter loaded with treasure any day! Arrr! Put one across her bow ye scurvy (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Small cutter bows (6x7 bow pieces)

(...) While the enthusiasm is not only commendable but admirable, I fear that an 18th-C. pyrate going after a steel, steam- powered freighter would be sort of like going after the setting moon. On the other hand, the black bows from River Expedition (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Small cutter bows (6x7 bow pieces)

(...) Let's not forget the Naboo Fighter with its two Light Gray "cutter bows" and plates as well as one yellow...shoot now I don't know what to all it by it's the plat the rises 45* off the bow. Kinda a bow plat with the bottom cut out. It's used (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Small cutter bows (6x7 bow pieces)

(...) Studio's Dino-Head <set:1354> has one of these in green, though I don't know how good that would look on a ship. BEN (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Small cutter bows (6x7 bow pieces)

(...) Are those currently available? If they are, I need to order a couple...I think the green would look excellent on a cutter, if it was balanced with a Crossbone Clipper sort of black scheme. Armada Flagship accoutrements could finish the (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Small cutter bows (6x7 bow pieces)

(...) Black and green works quite well together - I'll definitely snag a couple of these (like I need another cutter!). Bruce (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Small cutter bows (6x7 bow pieces)

(...) Of course I'll have to do a green and yellow cutter to keep the HMS Bugsplat company... (24 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Small cutter bows (6x7 bow pieces)

(...) I definitely hope that Brickfest 2001 will be in a 24hr venue. If not, I'm going to plead pretty strongly for a lockable room for the Pirate Game so we can set up and get started Friday night. I also hope we can find a way to do a Piratefest, (...) (24 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Small cutter bows (6x7 bow pieces)

(...) Although didn't early steamships sometimes go slower than a good trim sailing ship? (...) Those would of course do a very good job of keeping the pirates at bay. Much more accurate, much longer range, and much higher rate of fire. (...) I need (...) (24 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Small cutter bows (6x7 bow pieces)

(...) Yep--the paddle-wheelers, at any rate. However, until they were largely out of the 'overlap zone,' most steamers still carried a rig--the speed issue is why the Navy was very late in adopting steam propulsion as a standard, and even then only (...)   Re: Small cutter bows (6x7 bow pieces)

(...) At the *very* least. And then, even if we stop for the evening, we can still play with pirate ships (always important). (...) Where is that held? People say the Silent Death rules are good, but alas, I have no experience with them. If you have (...) (24 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.gaming)

Re: Small cutter bows (6x7 bow pieces)

(...) Oops, I had meant to mention where Trinocon is held... Sometimes I think faster than I type. Trinocon is (was) held in Durham North Carolina. (...) Definitely a signup before hand will be good. It will make things run much smoother if we know (...) (24 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.gaming)

Re: Small cutter bows (6x7 bow pieces)

(...) Was? It's not annual? (...) You bet! I also managed to pick up a couple of 6543s today--so I have red cutter bows as well. I'd be happy to ref, but of course I do want to *kill* things. arrr, LFB (24 years ago, 28-Oct-00, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.gaming)

Re: Small cutter bows (6x7 bow pieces)

(...) Well, it's not annual until the 2nd one happens.... (...) I need to process my (3) 6543s, build one for my town and a couple cutters for the pirate game (well, one pair of red bow bricks might get used with a pair of black bow bricks for my (...)
