Spring 2003 Meeting Planning —Thomas Avery
Howdy all, There has been a lot of talk via email recently about the meeting, and it was suggessted that we take it to LUGNET for the benefit of those not on the email list. So, here it is: MEETING DISCUSSIONS AT NI At the recent fall TEXLUG meeting (...) (22 years ago, 31-Oct-02, to lugnet.org.us.texlug)

Re: Spring 2003 Meeting Planning —William P. (Pat) Hough
My first instinct in responding to this thread was "perhaps you should organize your thoughts first." My second instinct was "Who am I kidding?" So here is my honest view, with the bark on: In the 21 hours and 18 minutes between Tony's initial (...) (22 years ago, 1-Nov-02, to lugnet.org.us.texlug)

Re: Spring 2003 Meeting Planning —Tom Reed
(...) Hi All, After reading all the emails and TJ's posting, I will add my thoughts about all of this. First of all, I'm excited about the meeting and that we are getting a couple of new people interested. I look forward to meeting some new (...) (22 years ago, 1-Nov-02, to lugnet.org.us.texlug)

Magna Carta for us Cautious Folks —William P. (Pat) Hough
I've told myself many times, "Do not post late at night." Like say, 3:30 AM or something like that. I'm particularly blunt at that hour. Nevetheless, I feel the points that Tom and I make are valid. They are as follows: 1. We seem to be going "Full (...) (22 years ago, 1-Nov-02, to lugnet.org.us.texlug)

Re: Magna Carta for us Cautious Folks —Erik Schroer
If I can come to the next one is still a mystery at this point but I still see things moving at too fast a pace for myself and obviously others. I have always envisioned a Lego Enthusiast's meeting as a place where a group of 5-15 people come (...) (22 years ago, 2-Nov-02, to lugnet.org.us.texlug)

Re: Magna Carta for us Cautious Folks —Tom Reed
(...) -snip- (...) I have another two cents to add here: I prefer another weekend besides March 29 and 30th! If my Sister holds to her promise, I will be in Vegas that weekend for my 50th birthday! She's told me that I "can't" bail out on THAT! (...) (22 years ago, 2-Nov-02, to lugnet.org.us.texlug)

2003 Spring Plans - a reply —Anthony Sava
(...) <SNIP> Perhaps this is my fault. Pat, Tom, you've missunderstood, I think. Nothing has been set in stone, which is why I asked for the replies to my original email. If we are to talk to Boeing we need some concrete things to talk to them (...) (22 years ago, 2-Nov-02, to lugnet.org.us.texlug)

Re: 2003 Spring Plans - a reply —Tom Reed
(...) No, Anthony, I didn't missunderstand! My reply was to offer other alternatives as well! (...) SNIP! (...) Frankly, I have a good time just getting together with other AFOL's and seeing what they have done and chatting about it! I didn't get (...) (22 years ago, 3-Nov-02, to lugnet.org.us.texlug)

Re: 2003 Spring Plans - a reply to a reply... —Tom Reed
(...) ANOTHER BIG SNIP (...) Hey All, I'm sorry to post again, but there was something else I wanted to say! It didn't come across in any of my other posts and I want to clarify my stance! First of all, I want to give a big "THANKS" to Anthony for (...) (22 years ago, 5-Nov-02, to lugnet.org.us.texlug)

Re: 2003 Spring Plans - a reply to a reply... —Erik Schroer
I, personally, like the idea of "playing" and getting to know each other on the first day kind of a warm up for the event we hold on the next. That sounds like a lot of fun with less stress. I mean because once we are at the meeting, the stress gets (...) (22 years ago, 5-Nov-02, to lugnet.org.us.texlug)

Re: 2003 Spring Plans - a reply (Even Longer) —William P. (Pat) Hough
(...) I have doubts that there should be any blame laid here. (...) I disagree. I'll try to make it more clear. What Tom and I are concerned about is the speed at which all these wonderful ideas were being tossed about, and more so, the speed at (...) (22 years ago, 3-Nov-02, to lugnet.org.us.texlug)

Re: Spring 2003 Meeting Planning —Thomas Avery
This is from Laura (still having posting problems) from Friday. My apologies, I've been out of town. From Laura Hayden: A group space module set-up would be so much fun! I also think we should build up to doing a big event, and if we want to plan (...) (22 years ago, 3-Nov-02, to lugnet.org.us.texlug)

This is from Steve, who cannot post quite yet. From Steve: I'm waiting for my permision to post so I can't do it quite yet.         The Way Forward (was: Spring 2003 Meeting Planning) —Thomas Avery
Howdy All, Laura and I have discussed things and would like to post a joint reply. Thank you to all who posted a reply and discussed issues about the spring 2003 meeting. We now have a better idea of the thoughts and feelings of the group. We'd like (...) (22 years ago, 4-Nov-02, to lugnet.org.us.texlug)

Re: Spring 2003 Meeting Planning —Steven Xzin Arnold
I want to make sure I grasp the theme of the meeting, the main being space, and there will be no train layout and no town, but i can bring my bigger and better crane. steve (22 years ago, 21-Jan-03, to lugnet.org.us.texlug)

Re: Spring 2003 Meeting Planning —Laura Hayden
(...) Just like the previous meeting, there will be a main layout (this time space) and room for other bits that people want to show off. I will be bringing my watermill, as well as anything I can throw together to add to the space layout. I don't (...) (22 years ago, 21-Jan-03, to lugnet.org.us.texlug)
